    Update 28/11/25 No call from anyone at store in regard to issues raised since “Social Media Team” replied to original post. Section 75 now raised with Creation. Order: S0106-1000345730 Just when I thought a sofa purchase couldn’t go wrong, SCS proved me wrong in spectacular fashion. We walked into the newly made-over store — nice enough, even if everyone looked like they were midway through a Bake Off audition. Before I’d even sat down properly, the salesperson had connected his phone to the recliner, turned it into a disco, and activated features I never asked for. My wife laughed. I didn’t. Still, we found a sofa we liked and placed the order. Here’s where the wheels come off: After weeks of silence, we suddenly get a message out of nowhere: “Your order is arriving.” Great — we rush to get our old sofa out. The next morning, at 7am, two drivers in a Luton turn up. They hand me paperwork to sign for potential property damage… and then give us two scatter cushions and a handful of gliders. That’s it. That’s the “delivery.” So now my living room is empty, and SCS have essentially sent Uber Eats for soft furnishings. I rang the store on Friday 21st. Spoke to Niall — good lad, assured me the manager was aware and even called again to say I wasn’t forgotten. Then Connor calls. He can’t explain anything. I ask what he’s going to do to fix it. He says he’ll call back. Spoiler: he didn’t. Not a peep. Trust matters — whether it’s sofas, houses, cars, or the corner shop. When Connor didn’t call back, that trust evaporated. It showed there was zero intention to resolve anything. So here I am: a loyal customer with no sofa, no answers, and pitch-black photos of my empty living room that perfectly reflect my mood. Can anyone at SCS take this seriously and actually help?

    DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!!! ***UPDATE*** Suprise suprise, yet again no customer service. Regional manager Jonathan Sewell has not even bothered to contact me, nor have I had any kind of response from him. I rang aftercare and they have just said that they won’t be doing anything to help us and to go to the ombudsman. Not even an attempt at a compromise or resolution, regional manager hasn’t even bothered to speak to me so how has he managed to come to a decision without hearing my side?! Absolutely disgusting and shouldn’t be able to get away with it. Under the consumer rights act they legally have to take it back within 30 days as it is not fit for purpose and was missold! I will be taking this all over social media and seeking legal advice. We have spent almost £3000 on a suite we cannot use. We went into the store and were very honest that we have dogs and wanted something hard wearing and suitable. The store manager Connor Sweeney came up with their “pet friendly range” and I specifically remember him taking out his car keys from his pocket and scratching the keys all over the swatch saying look you can do this and it will not scratch! Within days the sofa was scratched, we had paid extra for insurance and someone did come out to fix it, he sanded down the fabric several times and unfortunately this has left a rough patch on the sofa. He requested a call back for us saying it was mis sold and not fit for purpose. He also said he wouldn’t be able to do that many times as the fabric wouldn’t take it. Days later the sofa scratched again, this time through a cover! (for reference our dog is only 10kg)At this point we called aftercare saying we were not happy with the fabric and needed it resolving. They told us store would have to deal with it as it was mis sold. I spoke with Connor who did not want to know and offers no resolution other than if I wasn’t happy I would need to contact the ombudsman (no doubt hoping I would go away!) no apology was given, I found Connor arrogant and dismissive, even though he admitted that we had grounds to be unhappy! I have now escalated this complaint to the regional manager and am waiting for a response. I will update my review accordingly This has caused us so much stress and is so upsetting. Come on SCS, sort this out where is the customer service?!?

    Amazing staff, usually staff in sofa shops are pushy and follow you round making you feel uncomfortable, but in here they are very patient with you and give you space to look! The manager helped us today to buy the sofa that we had picked out a couple of weeks ago and was very helpful with the process. He was lovely! We were assisted by Joe when we were in previously and he was also very helpful, telling us about all of the colour and material selections, the pros of the sofa that we had picked and just answering any questions we had. I would 100% come back in the future.

    Me and my partner visited the store this morning, We were greeted by Jamil who helped us find the sofa we've been looking for, he explained to us how all the fabrics and colours are customisable and even the modular layout of the sofa it's self can be customised to suit which was perfect for us. We didn't feel any pressure to buy on the spot and we left to look around the other furniture stores in the area, After some thought we returned later to purchase the sofa Jamil had custom created for us based on what we wanted. The service and knowledge from Jamil was excellent and we couldn't of asked for anything more, Looking forwards to getting our new sofa soon!

    Customer service after care is appalling purchased a 4 seater sofa it was delivered in a shocking state ... focused delivery. no contact from head office as promised 2 trips back to scs giltbrook manager was very helpful and apologetic and called head office .. promised a phone call today to resolve ..we shall see !! Not holding my breath though

    USELESS!!! Placed an order in November 2022. The delivery date has constantly been changed and has now been changed yet again! We are out the country when the settees are now due to be delivered and SCS couldn't even get the delivery address correct. We then get told we can't change the delivery address unless we send 2 forms of I.D. - WHAT? So SCS are happy to take your money and take the relevant delivery details from you, but then 'they get the delivery address wrong'. We then have to jump through hoops in order for them to get the delivery address changed to the correct address! PATHETIC - They also say to cancel an order you have to go in-store rather than be able to cancel over the phone, RIDICULOUS - An absolutely clueless company with no customer service whatsoever. They will constantly move the goal posts to suit themselves AVOID! UPDATE: In response to the 'copy and paste' reply from SCS. I can confirm nobody has made contact, nothing has been done and the issue has not been resolved. I suggest SCS stop trying to give the impression they are being proactive in regards to any issues, when it's blatantly obvious you have done nothing. AVOID USING THIS COMPANY!!!

    I placed the order back in January 2022 and was told by the store manager my sofa will be delivered by end of March or latest mid of April 2022.I had to contact the store as my sofa didn’t deliver as it was promised so I went to the store and was told the manager who took my order and made a promise was not wirking any more and what ever arrangements with him was not valud any longer.I was shock and later was told by thwir email my sofa wouod be delivered on 13 May and that didnt happen and had to contact them again and was told will be arrive in our warehouse by mid June 2022 that was just outrage and not acceptable made me wait over 5 months and they took my deposit.

    Kelly-Ann was absolutely amazing, very friendly and welcoming, felt like I've known her for years. Beca, Chris (I think that's his name) and all staff members I met was so friendly and welcoming, even known me by my first name. I haven't laughed so much while buying a sofa.Very friendly atmosphere, highly recommend and will definitely be going again. Can't wait for my new sofa and snug chair to be delivered.Thank you!

    I was quite impressed with this store. The collection of sofas, cushions, etc is impressively varied to cater for a wide range of differences in design taste. The prices are high, though not outrageous, considering that the items I saw seemed to be of good quality

    The sales adviser from SCS is really a nice gentleman. There is a cable missing when we placed the order and he personally delivered it to our house after working hours, we really appreciate that. I will give him a five stars. But today we had the most horrible sofa delivery experience. The corner of our 3 seater was totally ripped open during the delivery, from the pictures we can see how "carefully" they wrapped our sofa. And since it's a ex-display we could not buy a care plan with it, now we need to find a professional to repair our brand new broken sofa.
