I rave about this practice. It is never a problem to get an appointment and the staff are helpful and friendly. Donna, the practice nurse is particularly wonderful; and her natural kindness makes appointments less stressful.
A great surgery. Very helpful and prompt. Always manage to see a Dr if not on the same day then later on in the week. I used to attend another GP previous to this one and I can tell you now Gamston is a very good surgery compared to others I have been to!!!!!
Receptionist need to stick to their job title answering calls, without giving out advice they aren’t one hundred percent certain of themselves. It is not the receptionist decision to decide whether or not a doctor needs to see me or a pharmacist especially when they aren’t educated enough.
The reception team are incredibly helpful whenever I need assistance or have any concerns. They always sort any issues for me and I never have trouble seeing my GP on the same day if needed. The nurses are also brilliant and kind (especially Sophie). All round amazing team at Gamston.
I have moved around a lot over the years and have to say this is, without a doubt, the best doctors I've ever been with. They're all friendly, helpful and hard-working. I always feel like they genuinely care and never feel rushed. The reception staff are especially lovely!
We took our 21 year old Ukrainian guest to register with the doctors the reception staff were excellent and very helpful
Trying to get an appointment is an absolute nightmare. Once I had to dial 150 times only to be told that all the appointments were gone!!! It's a basic human right to see a doctor and this practice is not delivering. For a person who very rarely needs a doctor ( once a year) it is very frustrating not being able to see one. I've been with the surgery for over 4 years and not even once I was invited to do a basic health check. Would be moving from here.
I tried calling over 150 times in 2 days to get through to someone with absolutely no luck. Even tried on 2 other phones to check it wasn't me. What are you supposed to do if you cant even get through to reception???
Kandola and her cronies here are simply VILE human beings!! Can't believe she owns the surgery and is actually allowed to practise! Can't believe any of them are allowed to practise, come to mention it! AVOID like the plague!
Have finally got to the end of our patience with this surgery, as with everyone who has found it absolutely impossible to get an appointment, my wife went in for a blood test over a month ago to be advised after having chased a number of times that the results had been lost. Come the second time the bloods are taken and yet again they have not called to give results. To add insult to injury, my wife also booked an appointment (telephone) over 3 weeks ago and was advised that the doctor will call on your mobile. My wife was driving home from work, missed a call and had a voicemail from Dr Kandola advising that you have missed your call and you need to book another appointment or call 111. Couldn't even try back a second time .... are you supposed to stop in the middle of traffic or endanger your life and answer a call while driving ? Basically we are now on a lottery basis to get support from the NHS.
