Great to see this Cinemas going strong. I first went in the 90s as a kid and love how they are still showing cult movies along with new releases . Prices are very good compared to the chained cinemas. The double seats are brill if you like to share with your loved ones or want the extra space for yourself. It was also nice to see they provide vegan snacks. Highly recommended .

This place is great! Proper classic cinema experience; whether you're in the huge amphitheatre style Screen 1 or the cosy and intimate Screen 4, it just has that old-school feel that's missing in those chain places. It makes going to the cinema feel like an actual experience, and not just going to watch a big TV in the same place, over and over again. Support local, Independent cinemas like this one, so we don't lose the chance to feel that feeling!

Nostalgia Fest! Affordable prices and a friendly greeting from staff. I got quite emotional when I stepped through its doors. No, seriously. With its plush decor and traditional design, it's like a well-maintained picture house from 30 or 40 years ago. If you want to go the cinema, not a multiplex then pop in!

Like many people on these reviews ive been coming to the savoy since I was a kid. Spent many birthdays here and always love coming back when I come to Nottingham. Screen 1 is a piece of cinema history - nearly 100 years old. The other screens are modern and match any multiplex. Reasonably priced and very special - beloved by people in Nottingham for a reason.

A great cinema. Good value prices too. Historic building retains the feel of how a cinema should be. Screen 1 is the best and no muliplex type place can match the feeling of walking up into screen one at the Savoy and seeing the large screen and auditorium in front of you. They also have some interesting and unusual screenings of films (including classic films) that are worth watching out for. I would recommend people go out of their way to visit this cinema!

Really nice cinema with some great snacks. Also right next to sainsburys which is helpful for the student budget. However, back does start to hurt in those seats for longer films.

I have worked at savoy cinema for almost 6 and half years and I absolutely love it, the staff and management are very helpful and friendly, the tickets are affordable and the popcorn and drinks are very reasonably priced, a great day out whether it by yourself, a date or as a family, I've experienced all.. came here before I worked here and ill certainly continue to come .photos are of screen 1, which I visited yesterday, very clean and the seats are comfy to seat in.

My favourite cinemas in the whole wide world... And have been since 1994. Nottingham one has real charm. Grantham and Corby are modern and give the multiplexs a run for their money in terms of comfort and sound. All this for a fraction of the price elsewhere. I also like that it's a local business. Customer service is generally great, with well informed staff who love cinema. My only down side would be that they don't offer a subscription. I take my kids at least a couple of times a month but would go more if we could get a subscription. Thank you for many years of great film experiences.

We loved it here, glad that we chose this cinema over the other ones. Cheap tickets, cheap popcorn, clean, lovely atmosphere and not too busy. The only negative is that we overheard the lady at the till gossiping about us that we took "too long" deciding which flavour of popcorn to get (less than 10 seconds). Regardless, really enjoyed it and we are planning on visiting again.
