I have beenbhee twice for amateur productions and enjoyed it thoroughly. Ther are 3 carparks close by. Drinks and snacks are very reasonably priced too.

The Duchess theatre offers a good venue for on stage productions. Seating is in an elevated arrangement giving a clear view of the stage over the heads of those sitting in front of you. There is a licensed lounge bar where drinks are served and can be pre-ordered for the interval. The staff are helpful and friendly. Parking is conveniently located very close to the theatre in a pay and display cat park.

First time at Duchess Theatre and I'm impressed. Hot drinks were available and a bar. Air conditioning was very much appreciated. Will definitely go again.

5 Stars - A Fantastic Day Out! What a lovely experience at the Duchess Theatre! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped in, with friendly staff and a charming, intimate setting that really draws you into the performance. The actors were outstanding – professional, passionate, and incredibly engaging throughout the show. It all started promptly and was perfectly paced, making for a smooth and enjoyable experience. Facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. Tea, coffee, and alcohol were all reasonably priced, which is a rare treat at a theatre. Snacks were budget-friendly too, so we could enjoy the show without feeling like we were overspending. Bonus points for free parking after 6pm – such a convenience! To top it all off, there’s a fantastic chip shop right across the road. We popped in before the show and it really rounded off a perfect outing. Highly recommend the Duchess Theatre for anyone looking for a delightful and affordable day (or evening) out!

Couldn't ask for more friendly staff and great atmosphere every time I go. The shows have been outstanding and Calendar Girls excelled my expectations. Bar prices very reasonable, easy free parking nearby. Facilities for those who need extra assistance are good. Definitely worth more than one visit.

Fabulous production and lovely little theatre. The only drawback was a woman who came and sat next to me in a vacant seat when the second half started. She promptly removed her trainers and my niece and I had the displeasure of her extremely smell feet for the final duration of the performance.

What a lovely venue. Good facilities. Great stage, super little balcony giving a cracking view of the stage. Went to watch & photograph a band tonight called Cranberry Flick. They were really good, bit of blues, rock & roll and lots of Christmas hits. You can't beat live music.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. I didn't even know this place existed, and thats coming from a dedicated theatre goer. The cast are amateur but you wouldn't know it, the scenery, bar and the well furnished theatre is great. There is plenty of parking near by and you will not be disappointed by the performance and the price of the tickets. Have a gamble and take a really good night out at this fantastic venue
