    Once I sent tge GP referral to Alliance Medical in Hillsborough I had to email them twice before I received a phone call to arrange an appointment. I received an appointment promptly once they did contact me. I received an email stating the price if the scan but this suddenly changed on the day of the appointment. Staff on the phone were polite but insisted I pay over the phone, which I am not comfortable with. They do not accept bank transfers which are instant payments.

    Be careful...Data protection is not a big deal for Alliance. So much "for going private". It's a very worrying future as people say its all going that way, to get a disgusting and amateurish service from a medical company that also works for the NHS. MRI scan went well (Saturday evening), handed my disc then the problems started. Checked the disc the next morning to find it wasn't mine and it had someone else's details on it but my name etc on the front of it, I knew it was the other person in the waiting room as I remembered his name being called. I Called Alliance on the Monday to tell them they made a mistake, they said to me to bring it back up asap. I told them they made the mistake so they can come out and collect it and drop mine off as I wasn't taking time off work to cover their mistake, as this is a serious Data Protection Breach I expected them to move quickly to clean up the mess they created. Boy did I get that wrong. I was dealing with a girl called Collette who was extremely unhelpful and started trying to put the pressure on me to sort the problem they caused. This went on for a week and a half driving me mad back and forth on the phone and getting nowhere near a common sense approach from Collette, all while I have access to someone else's personal information and no one would collect it and furnish me with my disk/details that I paid for. In the end of it I got a family member to drop the mans disc into my local doctor in Kilkeel to get rid of it, and Collette went down to Kilkeel to collect it but refused to drop mine off!! I recieved mine in the post a couple of days later. I don't know if the man was contacted by Alliance and told that his details had been given to some random person, but legally he should have been informed. Some people have a lot of negativity to say about the NHS, but I know one thing they would never have allowed this situation to escalate for the length of time that it did. Although I am sure the NHS have mechanisms in place to make sure this sort of thing would not have happened in the first place.

    Shockingly bad service. Arrived 10 mins early for form filling as requested by Alliance. Was asked to pay and not advised of a delay. 25 mins after scan was due to start, I asked what was the issue advising I could only run over by half an hour. Told there was delay and my scan would start 35 mins late. After the 35 min wait, I was shown to a tiny changing room the floor of which was dirty with human hair. I had no need to change it was simply to secure my belongings in a locker. Radiographer advised he would return in “a couple of minutes”. 15 minutes later I could still hear the MRI still running with another patient on it. I could not wait any longer and had to leave asking for a refund which has still not been provided. During the 50 min wait there was no water (empty), no TV, no magazines. The staff made no effort to be honest about the real wait time. If they had been I would have simply re-booked on arrival. They were quick to phone to secure the original booking but clearly couldn’t be bothered to phone on the day (appointment at 3:55pm so they had time) to advise of a backlog and re-book me. I left with the distinct impression that their main objective was to fill the MRI capacity to the maximum level and inconveniencing their customers was not important to them. Shoddy, unprofessional and ill-mannered. Two hours out of my life, a gallon of diesel and no scan. I will never be back and if you value your time have a think before booking.

    Was here for mri scan on my shoulder. I was early for appointment. Which was for 9.30. And didn't have to wait long. Was greated by friendly staff. Lead to a room were a locker Was provided for personal belongings. Called into room for my scan were they explained what I had to do. How long etc. Had a buzzer incase I needed to talk to them. Very professional.

    Terrible service. Arrived early for appointment in adverse weather conditions, and still even though people had not turned up for their appointments we had to sit over 2 hours waiting. Absolute disgrace, and the fact that they get paid a fortune for this service is unbelievable. Safer sticking with the NHS, at least you get dealt with in a proper manor. Never again!!!!
