Whenever you find yourself needing a doctor, we all know the score. You have to wait your turn in the phone queue, give details, and then wait for a call-back. None of this ideal, but that is the system we have. Be patient and courteous with the reception staff, they are under immense pressure. And they are nice people. Yes, I too have had a few not so great experiences in the past. But I am thankful and grateful for all the times when I received good medical care. The doctors that need a mention for their help - dr Doran, dr Gough, dr McCarvary, dr Doyle, dr Mason and dr Shaw.

I have went down to this GP practice today after repeatedly trying to get an appointments for my husbands for his mental health and his fiscal health. After my husband ringing repeatedly on several occasions and ringing 72 times yesterday he finally got put throw to a dr today who hung up. We went down to the practice and the receptionist was so unbelievably unhelpful that I told he I was leaving until he was seen. She then got the practice manager who said I had threatened said receptionist (which she piped in during the conversation to state) this is a complete lie! I did not threaten anyone! I understandable got very angry about her lying! There is no medical care provided by this GP and I will be taking this as far as I can! That fact that she lied and said I threatened her was appalling and despicable! Leaving my husband without mental and fiscal treatment if anything happens to my husband I will be holding this practice liable!

After waiting for a week to try and self heal I tried to get through to the doctor. After 12 attempted calls by me my daughter finally talked to someone and I was told hereβs the doctor after a 3 minute call I got a week of antibiotics and told if that doesnβt work ring me back Friday. By Friday I knew they were not working and tried to call back on Friday but to no avail. I have just spent all day Monday 9 th and still nothing. I canβt figure if the Doctor doesnβt care when he says phone back or he had no idea whatβs going on at his surgery Very disappointed after over 50 years paying into this club there must be a better way to manage time and resources.

Attended yesterday due to asthma symptoms. In area visiting family so not registered at practice. The staff couldnβt be more helpful, unfortunately I canβt recall her name but the lady on reception with the enviably neat pony tail was fantastic. Nursing and medical staff also great they had good understanding and a compassionate ear. Patients in this catchment area are very lucky indeed.

Most people wearing masks as requested. Still some not wearing them. Staff all very efficient

Been with this doctor my entire life and despite needing a GP plenty of times, I've only ever been able to get one a couple of times. The most recent time I got an amazing doctor, she made me feel so validated and supported, I wish I could get her every time-or remember her name! But the main issue is actually getting through to them. It's impossible. Today alone I called over 100 times (during the allocated hours to speak to someone which is only half an hour!) And got no answer which is completely normal here

I do not usually leave reviews but so many negative I felt the need to balance a little. I had trouble getting through on phone for over a week but tried few times got appointment within a few weeks which is normal for NHS as not urgent they are very busy doing bloods in blood clinic did not go to treatment room. nurses very good and lovely. passing reception area heard man being rude to receptionist trying to speak to a doctor. The queues were all very long and we all need to calm down and give the staff a break they are doing their best. People seem angry when told their needs not very urgent. The medical people must prioritise folks and be fair to everyone and there are some very sick people who are much more urgent. shouting at staff is rude and stressful and upset me to hear that and small children about. Wise up. In blood room sign up to say number who do not show up for appts, this was shocking and a waste of time make mor effort. Management and staffing not prob of nurses yet they get stick from all of us so complain to those who can do something about it. Gp receptionists you can see are stressed out. Kenny good doctor my husbandβs doctor Dr Chapman also very good staff lovely on reception desks always politely explain how it is which is all you can ask for. I am also sure GP never 9 to five job. NHS is on its knees read the news folks and think before you holler at staff there are signs to remind you everywhere short staffed not just here.

Absolute disgrace. Ringing the treatment room for over a week only to be told there was no one to answer the phone. Then they change the answering message to call between 9 and 1. you call between 9 and 1 and they tell you to call between 9 and 1 on an answering machine. You do know that you can have a doctor outside of Bangor. Absolute pathetic disgrace

I have been very impressed with the Castle Park Practice over the whole pandemic, especially after hearing negative experiences friends and colleagues are having with other Health Centres, unable to get speaking to a GP at all. Over the past 2 years I have always got speaking to a GP over the phone, and been brought in if necessary, receiving any treatment/prescriptions needed as normal.
