Excellent central place to stay, need a fob to get in, and an actual key to get into the bedrooms. Write your name on food and out it in the communal fridge. Coffee and tea available all day. Small simple breakfast included. No curfew. Deposit needed on arrival for the key and fob. Lounge is great to meet new people of chill out.

Lovely staff and friendly travellers. Great water pressure and super fast hot water from the showers. Amazing location - central to many landmarks and tourist activities within a short walk and access to public transport just down the road. Best of all is the decor and vibe of the place - hands down one of the coolest places I've stayed in. Every wall is covered in artwork, instruments, maps, messages from strangers. You name it. Would definitely stay again and for longer.

One of the loveliest hostels we stayed in, Bob and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was nice and clean and we loved the chill zone with all the games and movies right next to the kitchen. The place was very cozy and offered a lot for people travelling by themselves. Location is excellent. Would definitely return if ever back in Belfast for a couple nights.

The staff are some of the loveliest you’ll meet and go above and beyond to welcome you. It’s a well-priced hostel, and we appreciated the free breakfast as part of the cost. However, it needs a serious upgrade. The feel of the rooms is ‘school camp style’. There is no privacy like you might get in a pod style with curtains - it’s all completely open. There are no shelves for you to place things near your bed. There are under-bed cages but they are not lockable. The lockers offered are too small for your average sized luggage and most were broken. There weren’t even any hooks anywhere to hang your (own) towel. After being in several hostels, it’s clear which ones are thoughtful about arranging spaces, and this one is not.

Claudia and Phoebe were just the absolutely best hosts so welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. They made the atmosphere feel more like home than a hostel, and their local recommendations were spot on. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting

This place truly embodies what a hostel is supposed to be. Bob, Rory, and Josh were wonderful at receiving me and giving me advice on tours to take; they even booked my Giant's Causeway tour for me! The staff all worked hard every day to make sure the place was clean and welcoming. Siobhán made every day fun with some playful banter as well as helping me understand the history of Northern Ireland. The staff helped organize game nights for the hostel guests and took us to some of the best pubs in the area. Gwen was especially hospitable and took me to this trad Irish pub called Maddens which was the best pub in Belfast in my opinion. With the music, games, and friends, that night was the best night of my week! One thing to note, but this is true of most hostels, the showers were a little tight for me (188 cm) and the automatic light shut off on me once. On the bright side, the showers aren't those annoying ones where you have to push the button for water every 30 seconds. The bathrooms themselves were pristine in materials and cleanliness. I would highly recommend Vagabonds to anyone looking for a fun, safe, clean, and affordable place to stay in Belfast.

Th location is great in my opinion. Right close to Botanic Train Station and plenty of restaurants, bars, Spar is just down the road. Location is safe and located next to another hotel. Checking in is easy. You're given a tour of the place. Very comfortable common rooms, eating areas and kitchen. There wasn't too many people in the common rooms during my stay. Lots to look at. The walls are covered in previous guest graffiti, photos, postcards. Nice homey hostel feel. No noise issues during my stay. All of my 11 roommates were very considerate of each other during lights on and lights out. This is always a variable so I was lucky in that regard. I found the building, bathrooms, common areas and kitchen to be clean. If you're not used to hosteling you may have a different opinion. But there were no bugs, signs of molding or any infrastructure issues within the building. The bunk beds all have charging ports located from lower bunk to upper bunk. It's a prong port and a USB. Very helpful. They do serve breakfast, I think sometime after 8 and there's free food and condiments in the fridge from previous guests. Plenty of tea and milk As for cons. You may find the bun beds do move if the person below or above you is adjusting. Again if you're used to hosteling this won't be too much of a bother. The hot water in the showers I was told turn on either past 6:30 or 7am. Only the taps ran hot, so i did forgo showering as I was up before 7. I waited awhile but the shower and the one near it never ran hot. This may be sorted after 7. But if you're leaving early, you may have an icey shower. My only real issue is that the rooms were much too hot. Much much too hot. The sort of hot were you cannot get comfortable. The beds had a good supply of linens, plenty to keep you warm. I didn't even use them and this review is in February. I could hear others in the room shifting uncomfortablely throughout the night My heart was racing. I didn't want to open a window to street noise below, but you might ask your roommates if they wouldn't mind, because honestly it took me quite awhile to fall asleep. Bring plenty of water and bring summer night gear. If the heat had been turned down I'd give it a 9/10

Nice place, good atmosphere. Friends was acting stupid (got too drunk, was very embarrassing) receptionist handled it really well. Minimised disruption to other guests while also making sure my friend was ok. Great work, and was so helpful throughout the stay as well.

We spend just a night here with my sister, but it was clearly one of the bests by now in Ireland. A very welcoming staff and a great environment made all the discussions easy and very interesting! We even had the luck to taste the great spaghettis of the Italian chef !

Honestly a really awesome spot. Perfect size hostel (not too big or small), friendly vibes and super comfy social layout so you meet everybody. Great location by the Queens University and nearby busy streets with restaurants, bars, and shops. Rooms were comfy and good size compared to others I saw in Ireland. Bathrooms super clean. Staff was super friendly and also laidback where you couldn’t tell who was staff and who was just another friendly traveler. I highly rate this place!
