On Monday 15 April 2024 I presented with two prescriptions after a change of medication. I was told that they could not issue the medication as they had a problem and if I wanted the medication to go to another chemist. I opted to do that. On arrival at the alternative chemist they prepared the medication but said that Daybrook needed to release the prescriptions so they could issue the medication. Rather than travel back to the original chemist we decided to telephone to get it released. We tried for an hour including the chemist waiting to issue the medication but no one would answer the calls. We then travelled back to Daybrook Medical centre branch to get it released. On arrival my wife went to arrange the release and asked the assistant why no one was answering the telephone. At this point another lady, no idea whether it was the pharmacist or not came and injected herself into the conversation, she said that no one was going to be rude to her staff . At this point she had raised her voice to a loud crecendo and shouted that my wife was a very rude person and they were two busy to answer the telephone, my wife tried to explain that she was not being rude but was merely saying incase they had phone problems, but she was constantly being shouted down even though other customer's were in the pharmacy. Eventually she shouted that you have got what you wanted now get out. We have both been registered at this chemist for a lot of years and have never been treated like this before. Whoever this person is whether an assistant or the pharmacist they would benefit from anger management training . I am 84 years old and my wife is of a similar age and we both feel that we that we were subjected to what amounts to verbal abuse through no fault of our own. We are now seriously considering leaving this branch

This is a great pharmacy, even though it’s usually pretty busy most days. It’s also a surprisingly small place for the amount of business it has to cope with, but the staff are always extremely friendly, cheerful and very helpful. Such a great team.

I have to concede they are under a lot of pressure but you often have to wait a long time or return for items they haven’t got.

If I could rate zero I would. Absolute joke. Booked for flu jab weeks in advance only to turn up for my appointment to be told the person wasn't in. Is it really that hard to contact people that have BOOKED through your online booking systems to advise that they would need to rebook. The only reason I chose here was because I had a voucher from my employer and it was the only one available! Its not even local to me that makes it even more annoying!

I havent been to here for a while but today i needed to get some antibiotics so needs must , the lady printed of the prescription then she and the pharmasist had a chat I saw him dispense my prescription so when a tight lipped mid 60's shop assistant came to the till area i asked if it was ready my if looks could kill she said have you asked anyone else I said no but the pharmasist had bagged it up he came over with said prescription never asked if i had had the tablets before just checked my address and gave them me . When i got home there was not a information booklet with them just the tablets . How this chemist keeps a float is a mystery I guess there only saving grace is is that they are in the doctors . The shop is a mess and theres bags of medication over everywhere maybe they should get some younger members of staff because its clear the 2 thats there need to retire or pick another profession .

Terrible. Unable to collect monthly repeat prescriptions despite being on them for 4 years. Staff not helpful and assistant I saw today very rude. Unable to collect life saving medication. After talking to the Dr's receptionist she arranged for it to be collected later today. After calling the pharmacy I have been told every item is out of stock and can't be collected for 48 hours, even though I explained I have no medication left I'm now without epilepsy medication for 2 days. Disgusting and for me and many others VERY DANGEROUS. Informed all family and friends Definately not recommended.
