   It's the staff that make this shop more than just somewhere to buy stuff. Not just knowledgeable about equipment, they genuinely want to help people. I've had several good experiences here in the past. Today it was Neil and Charlie who deserve a mention for providing a great service.

   Came in here for walking shoes, the staff were great even though it was very busy. Sophie had a very in-depth knowledge about the shoes and was able to give me pointers on what would work better for my unusual foot shape. Very happy with he service provided!

   Ordered a fleece via the website at an excellent price and arranged to pick up the item from the Cotswold Outdoor Castle Boulevard store. I received a warm, professional and friendly greeting from the two staff I could see on duty. My click and collect order was dealt with quickly, and the shopping experience was pleasurable and hassle free. There are also a number of parking spaces directly outside the store which makes access so much easier. Based upon this buying experience I would certainly give both the website and the store a maximum five stars and would certainly recommend Cotswold Outdoor to others

   I always buy my serious bits of kit here. The staff have changed over the years but they are always helpful and knowledgeable. Cotswold must have a decent training system and it feels like the staff are genuinely outdoor people with real world experience. Just bought a pair of Grisport boots. Staff member Tom was very helpful without the hard sell. I may not have bought them without his advice.

   Parking is difficult as little on shop front and permit parking on nearby roads. Only 30min allowed in Tesco nextdoor. Shop front has peeling paint and name falling off. Shop was half empty, I thought they were closing down but apparently a refit. Would be much better on a retail park.

   Staff at the Nottingham branch are rude, unhelpful and arrogant. To say I purchase£100s of merchandise there’s no customer service whatsoever. No thank you or any emotional intelligence.

   Store is on the smaller side and suffers with a lack of great parking. Once inside the store is well kept with a good layout and the staff are friendly. There is however, a distinct lack of some brands featured within the store, with some taking much of the wall space and some getting barely a rail.
