We all had a lovely time on the train. Our 2 grandchildren were so excited. Santa was very good and the elf that told us a story. It was well worth the money. Even though it was busy the staff were very nice.

We really enjoyed our Santa special trip with our grandsons (aged 5,3 and 1)There was surprise entertainment ( magic tricks and story) as well as 2 visits from the big man himself and the presents given were well chosen and decent quality. All the volunteers were friendly and played their roles with enthusiasm. It was lovely to end the trip with a quick look in the train sheds and hot chocolate in the well turned out cafe. There was also adequate parking next to the station. Would certainly recommend.

We live local to Chasewater and have done all my life and have seen the park and railway develop from a wasteland in the early 1980's to the countryside park that it is today, and witnessed the railway grow from a very short 200 meter line to something much bigger and better. We have visited the Santa Special in previous years, 2018 was a great first time visit when Santa made his way down the train. 2019 was not so good as we had to visit Santa in his own carriage and he didnt have much time for us and was very rushed as we were near the end. So did not go back again until this year, as we now have a 3 year old who would hopefully enjoy it more. We took a risk, and it was definitely worth it, it seems the organisers have learnt over the years what works and what doesn't. All the kids (10, 9, and 3) enjoyed the train ride, and well what can I say about Santa, he was great - entered the carriage with chants of "SANTA! SANTA! SANTA!". 3 year old was excited to see him coming up the train. He was a great Santa, very jolly, lots of fun, and kids were comfortable and not shy with him! His assistant Elves were also good fun. We got plenty of time with Santa and were not rushed at all even though we were at the end of the train. As we live local the deer from the windows were not as impressive as we see them all the time but for people who are not local I can imagine seeing the red deer next to the tracks just adds to the Christmassy experience. Overall a great treat for the kids and get to spend some quality time with Santa and the gifts received are welcome if not the best quality.

We had an absolutely amazing time at chasewater railway, for the Santa special. My daughter loved the steam train, everyone was so friendly (especially Santa and his elf) and even the presents we were given were really good. I would definitely recommend it.

Went along to the Halloween train ride. Absolutely brilliant. A well put on event that was suitable for kids and adults alike. A lovely ride behind a steam loco then a great laugh going round the haunted engine shed. Would definitely recommend going.

Nice experience for kids and grown-ups as well! The train looks like a time machine... Well preserved compartments and carriages! If around Chasewater it's an amazing way to spend 1 to 2hrs if your day out...
