My little girl goes twice a week and loves every minute as did my son who attended for circa 5 years. Every time they come out smiling, buzzing in fact, usually off a picture or craft work they’ve created with their friends, then tell us all about it on the way home. Best compliment I can give is simply they both would have gone more often if possible. The set up here is a class act, Sally prior to retirement and of course Kerri are legends, the wider staff are fantastic, friendly and professional who genuinely care about all the kids. I’ve known loads of parents who have used this club and sure they would all agree on 5 stars. How anyone can give this place anything less is beyond comprehension.

I have used school house preschool for both my daughters and my eldest currently attends wrap around care too. I have been very happy with our family’s experience throughout the past 4 years. The setting is a small, homely and nurturing environment, the staff make excellent and innovative use of the space they have as well as benefiting from use of facilities at Edwalton primary. our child often comes home excited to tell us what she has been doing at preschool. Special thanks to Mel, Nelle and Nicola who have shown genuine care and support of our daughter’s development and have gone above and beyond to support us as a family such as when we wanted to remove our youngest’s dummy. We are so grateful for being such a lovely part of our girl’s care.

All three of my children have attended Willow Childcare, and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better setting. My youngest daughter has a few medical issues that require ongoing monitoring, and the staff have been absolutely fantastic in ensuring she’s safe, supported, and happy. The environment is always clean and tidy, which gives me peace of mind when it comes to reducing her risk of exposure to bugs. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warm, home-from-home atmosphere. The team are caring, attentive, and genuinely love what they do. The best part? The children always leave with huge smiles on their faces – and that’s all the reassurance I need that my child is in the right place.

Willow Child Care, Edwalton I recently made the decision to withdraw my daughter from Willow Child Care in Edwalton, and I’d like to share our experience to help other parents make a more informed decision. While there are some positives—like a weekly outing to the woods—the overall offering was disappointing. The outdoor space on-site is extremely limited, especially considering how important outdoor play is for young children. Apart from the forest trip, I rarely had any idea what they actually did with the children during the day. My daughter never came home excited about activities. Instead, she’d often say things like “It’s boring,” “Nobody talks to me,” or even that the other children had forgotten her name. This wasn’t just a one-off; it was consistent, and very sad to hear. Another major issue was hygiene. The children are not allowed to wear shoes inside, yet there’s no alternative like indoor slippers, and the floors were clearly not clean enough for this rule to make sense. My daughter’s socks came home absolutely filthy every day. I spent far too much time hand-washing white socks that never should have been that dirty in the first place. Health-wise, I noticed that children who were clearly unwell—especially with strong, persistent coughs—were still being allowed to attend. Not long after returning from a healthy break, my daughter developed symptoms again. I understand nurseries aren’t medical facilities, but basic precautions should be followed. There should be a clear policy: if a child is visibly unwell, they should stay home. The parking situation is also chaotic. There’s very limited space around the nursery, which creates a lot of stress during drop-off and pick-up. I witnessed parents becoming visibly frustrated and impatient almost daily, and I can see why—it’s not safe or practical. We had hoped Willow would be a nurturing and stimulating place for our daughter, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. This may not be every parent’s experience, but for us, poor hygiene, and general atmosphere left us with no confidence in the setting. If you're considering Willow, I strongly recommend asking specific questions about daily routines, hygiene, illness policy, and outdoor space before enrolling your child.

Fantastic preschool, the staff are brilliant with the children and ensure that there is a real family feel within the setting. My daughter had attended the last two years and the growth in knowledge and her personality has been leaps and bounds, over all a brilliant setting .

Excellent experience, Sally and Kerry are very knowledgeable and professional and I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in a career in childcare to use this exceptional company for all their training needs.
