Good shop but always an absolute nightmare to donate!! Been on three different occasions to donate clothes and items and always left with them because of the hassle always seems like I’m bothering them and they don’t want donations - drop at other charity shop!
Had a great shop here, picked up some bargains! Bought a new table and was helped with it to the car, Sean is a legend for helping!

This charity shop offers a variety of items and is conveniently located with a nearby car park that includes designated spaces for blue badge holders. The shop is wheelchair accessible, making it easy for everyone to visit. However, one downside is the shop's unusual policy regarding torn book pages and loose papers. Instead of allowing these materials to be repurposed for paper art projects, the shop prefers to discard them. The Manager explained that this is a charity-wide policy, which I found puzzling. I would expect charity organizations to be more environmentally conscious and cost-effective by finding ways to recycle or repurpose such items, especially since their broader mission should serve the community as a whole, not just focus on generating funds for a specific cause.
I booked a collection donation of my 3 piece suit , comprised of a sofa bed and two arm chairs. They have been looked after even if they are old. I have arranged delivery of new furniture to fit around this collection , and the day before (on a Sunday) I was called and left an answer machine message to say it wouldn’t be financially viable for them as there is a stain on one of the arms of the sofa ?! I absolutely would not donate anything that couldn’t be sold on, and now to have this cancelled the day before delivery of new furniture is terrible. I won’t be using this shop again .
Really friendly and helpful staff. Could see they were extremely busy but still made time to help me with my donation. The manager was super helpful and kind even though there weren't many staff around to help her on such a busy day
This charity shop is huge and there's always a great range of items that are fairly priced. Lovely friendly staff too who work very hard :)
Went to drop off some goods. You struggle from the car to the door at which point you are greeted by a sign saying 'no more donations today... see member of staff'. You see one of the staff who looks down her nose at you as if to say couldn't you read the sign and repeats 'no more donations today'. If you point out the sign says 'see a member of staff' you get told 'whatever, we're still not taking anything today... come back tomorrow and we "may" take it tomorrow. So, if you are at work, don't bother donating to this branch of Sue Ryder, they clearly don't want your goods and expect you to be at their beck and call, coming each day, as early as possible in order to give them something. Talk about inconvenient! It's there are other charity shops I would urge you to treat this one in the way they treat their donations.. . Without any care or attention.
