Books two flu jabs for myself and my wife a week ago. We paid up front as we don't get them free with are not quite old enough yet. A few hours before we set off, they call and cancel as they have run out of vaccine. They then tell us we have to go back on line to claim a refund. If they know they had so many people coming in for pre-booked, why give those away to others if they don't have supplies for customer who have already paid.

I went to collect prescription at lunch time .Felt dizzy and light headed. A really lovely lady told me to sit down and got everything ready for me. She went over and above to help me. Thank you

This is not directed at my local Boots pharmacy who provide a fine service under difiicult circumstances, it is a complaint about the impossibility to talk directly to anyone in the whole organisation about important/emergency matters. I am in rapidly declining health and need to collect a prescription but am absolutely unable to stand in the queue for more than a couple of minutes. Not being familiar with procedures I tried to phone but it was completely impossible to find a way to speak directly to a human. I was told to provide an 'account number' which I have never had. I have now found out that I can get someone else to collect for me, but that was by approaching NHS directly. It is shameful that a company that deals with unwell and vulnerable people cannot provide a service or information which is easier for people to access. Shocking lack of organisation.

Impossible to buy something in there without joining a 10 deep queue for prescriptions. So to buy anything is a 25 min wait! Hopeless!

For a massive company Boots Torpoint must be one of the poorest. Staff obviously don't want to be there often very rude. They text you to say your prescription is ready after 7-10 days and when you get I was informed only 1 of the 3 items had been processed. Queues often the whole length of the shop. Boots need to help by getting more trained staff to help the ones that are struggling.

Service is incredibly slow unless you are the only person there! Only ever 1 person on a till despite there actually being quite a few of them in store!

Always found the staff helpful and prescriptions on time. Shame on Boots management for not staffing them properly. They are over worked and are closed today and tomorrow because of this (I assume). Come on Boots support your staff properly they have to take all the flack on the front line. DO YOU CARE

I wouldn't, ordinarily, waste my time and energy writing a review for such a simplistic thing as a prescription collection service, but I don't like being lied to. There is a notice in this Boots that the surgery are taking 6 days to pass prescriptions back to the service which is a lie. I handed in my prescription on 29 October, it was returned to Boots for completion on the 31st and it took them 9 days to fill it! It was not ready to collect until 8 November. So, they hide their ineptitude by blaming others... that's the Boots way. What I can't understand is why Boots hasn't gone the way of Woolworths, C&A and the rest of the dross... hopefully it won't be long!
