Fantastic shop with a wonderful selection of Jellycats and other soft toys. The prices are really reasonable, and the friendly sales lady makes the experience even better. Yes, it’s a small shop, but that only adds to its charm!
I was really sad to hear about the ram raid on this lovely little shop recently. Absolutely heartbreaking. I hope the owners have gotten back on their feet. Me and my partner are huge jellycat fans so we will definitely be coming by! ❤️
Our families favourite place to visit while on holiday. Cheddar gorge is a beautiful place and the teddy bear shop here is the best. You will get a friendly welcome and there are 3 rooms there full of bears from pocket money bears to collectors bears. There will definitely be a cuddly friend there for everyone. It took is ages to decide as there were so many fantastic new friends to choose from, it is much appreciated that the staff there are patient while we decided. If you can’t decide they have a lovely online shop too. Well worth a visit, we are already looking forward to our next one. Great shop brilliant, friendly and helpful staff.

I can not fault the service I received from Jen on Sunday. I made an online purchase which was not what I was expecting I was unable to get to the Taunton store to return and I did not want to post it by Royal Mail due to the strikes. I called Jen and explained my situation and within the hour Jen called me back and I was able to return Theodore to Cheddar and pick out a new bear for the imminent arrival of our Grandchild. Thankyou so much for your help.
The shop is very small not much room to move they have a wide range of Charlie Bears all different prices I purchased 2 bears the woman behind the counter was extremely rude, very abrupt she is definitely not a people person she’s best kept out of sight I most certainly will not be going back there and I wouldn’t recommend anyone buying from this very rude individual
Wonderful selection of toys, but when I visited a few days ago, the woman behind the counter was incredibly rude. She was maybe in her late 40s/50s and seemed unhappy to have customers. From the way she barked at other customers about where they should stand in the shop to how she spoke to me when checking out, I won't ever be back. Rude, unpleasant, unhappy... if you're not happy in your job I'm sure there are hundreds others who would love to have one right now.
Visited today with my 2 children, my daughter is an avid collector of Beanie Boos and I had promised her on the way back down the gorge that we could go in and she could choose one. Upon entering the shop, the woman locked the door behind us so not to let anyone else in as she needed to go to the post office at no point did she indicate she was closing, and then a few minutes later as my children were browsing the shop she started huffing and making me feel like we had to leave, so i said to my children who to 'come on, we needed to go' and asked my son to place the teddy that he was looking at back on the shelf and the woman hastily said 'yes i need to go to the post office', my son who is autistic and has dyspraxia went to place the teddy back on the shelf and panicked and it fell to the floor and I said to him to pick it up and the woman marched toward him and said aggressively 'I dont have time for this'. I was disgusted and said there was no need to be so rude to him, no apology, nothing - just a blank look! My son was mortified and was very upset when we left! Absolutely terrible way to treat customers, never mind a child. Whoever this was should be absolutely ashamed of themself! There were a group of people who wanted to enter the shop as we left who were advised she was going to the post office and she would be back shortly if they wanted to return. I rarely leave a negative review, but yes while you may have a fantastic range of bears, the lack of dignity and respect shown to us was disgusting and not on a par with any other businesses we visited in the gorge that day, but certainly one that has left a very bitter taste!
