Visited today with my son to purchase some Dagu pets, unfortunately they wouldn't sale them to us because the cage that Pets at home sold us wasn't up to the high standard they required for the animals well being, it was annoying but understandable, the welfare of the pets they sale is very important that they will be happy in your care, advice about every aspect of each animal they sell is given, including diet, bedding ect ,today a very nice lady called Cat helped us.Very impressed. Visited recently and they are no longer selling pets,a bad move, eventually they won't have a need to exist. Customers won't purchase items for pets you can't purchase. It would be like a garage not selling fuel.

I have never seen such awful conditions for rodents in a pet shop before. Most of the cages - specifically for hamsters - were absolutely tiny. The guinea pigs water bowl was filled with filthy water. The Degus wheel was chewed around the outside and jagged - I saw fur attached to it so a poor Degu has obviously caught it on the incredibly sharp edges. The rats hammocks were chewed through to the point where they’d fallen apart entirely. Water bottles looked cloudy and I’m concerned by the general lack of cleanliness throughout the enclosures. The enclosures on offer for purchase were also far below the recommended space for a hamster but as this is also an issue with other pet stores, I guess I can’t be too annoyed. Small rodents are such wonderful animals. I’m appalled by the conditions they’re being kept in. Judging from other reviews this isn’t a recent issue either. Jollyes please, please train your staff to care for animals and provide them with the space, cleanliness, and enrichment they deserve. Even just ensuring they have clean water seems beyond this branch.

We have bought two budgies from Jollyes. Throughout the process, and afterwards on the phone they were so helpful and knowledgeable. We have two very happy budgies now

DO NOT TRUST THE CHILDREN AT THIS STORE. They claim to be knowledgeable about animal welfare. However they cannot safely say if an animal they are selling is healthy or not with any real accuracy. I know this because I purchased just before Christmas a couple of beautiful (and I assumed at the time) healthy fancy mice, with intent to integrate into my existing group. After jumping through the necessary (and quite frankly insulting) hoops their policy insists I jump through during the adoption process. The girl (with very long and apparently fragile nails) incorrectly handled the mice by pinching them by the tails to place them in our carrier. (As a prey animal this causes severe and wholly unnecessary stress and anguish.) Upon arrival at home and during the integration process not only was this problems but I find that one of the mice isn't even a fancy mouse, upon discovering this I halted all introductions and researched what breed of mouse this actually was. Believe me I will always be surprised by the knowledge that I have as a pet a door mouse whom thinks it is a fancy mouse. This can happen when a young wild mouse finds its way into a litter. She had paired herself very nicely with an albino fancy mouse. So we came up with fitting names from the movie frozen (10 points if you can guess the names) because we had a wild brown door mouse who was seemingly inseparable with her adopted sister. This bond however was doomed to be short. (Less than four months) we spent the last few months of the white fancy mouse's life nursing her through stomach cancer which was very unpleasant to be witness to. If this company had as they claimed checked with an exotic vet the condition of their stock thoroughly then this situation could have been avoided. I am now in the process of reintegrating a domesticated wild door mouse into an established group of fancy mice (all female) which given I imagine they most likely speak very different languages in the mouse world) with vast quantities of very cheap coffee and taking shifts observing until we know they are settled. I do not recommend that anyone shop here unless you want a short life with your pet. Right now that said door mouse is searching for her sister and it will be heart breaking (which can potentially kill mice) when she figures out that she will never find her. This is stressful on the family and on the poor mouse. They have lost us as customers. Thanks for nothing jolleys

I've visited this pet section at Cadbury many times and the staff are always friendly helpful and know a fantastic amount of information about all their pets. It's such a good idea to only sell rabbits, guineapigs and all these small animals in pairs for each others company. They are always so well looked after and I can always purchase my goods without any problems. I would recommend this little pet shop to anyone looking for small pets.

Few year ago when we brought our puppy out vet recommended this Jollyes. 5 years later we still shop with them, the staff are super friendly and welcoming when they see us, we wanted to try a new food for our dog due to allergies, But they didn't stock it at the time, but they order it in and now stock the product, Even better they now stock some horse stuff I cannot recommend this store and team enough. All animals are well looked after we also bought two cockatiels from the store and they are loving life at my nan's, Keep up the good work.

Excellent service from a young lady named Willow. I came here after being informed by a friend of their deals on sawdust and hay for my guinea pigs. I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and informative and were very knowledgeable about their animal stock. Top stuff will come back!
