Honestly, I don’t understand how this school hasn’t got a 5 star rating! The experience I had, myself, at another school, bullying, etc.. I didn’t want my child to experience the same, so searched high and low for schools that are good with children with Autism (I, myself am Autistic too, so I understand my child well - he’s the carbon copy of me!). I found SDCC online and called them. They didn’t have any placed unfortunately, but I was determined to get my child into the school and with the councils help, I did! I do not regret it one bit! In primary school, my child had very little friends and a huge amount of bullies. It would never get sorted. My child kept getting overlooked, the complaints kept getting overlooked. It was awful.. in this school, now, he made 8 friends in his first two days there! He was super happy to go to school every day and still is! Every issue we’ve had, has been resolved very quickly, every question we’ve had, has been answered very quickly. Honestly, I don’t see a single fault with the school at all! My child did get bullied, by one other child in the school, BUT, the school resolved it straight away! I’m just super overwhelmed and happy! My son doesn’t have to suffer what I suffered in JKCC. I’m honestly so so happy! 40+ FREE clubs too! Including an LGBTQIA+ Club! Absolutely amazing! The staff, the teachers, the SEN folk, everyone has been super helpful, super supportive and super lovely!

Wouldn't advise sending your children here. They have such Draconian methods, they truly believe that they have more powers over your child than you do. Uniform is extremely expensive and at every opportunity they hold their hands out for money. Detentions handed out like they are going out of fashion, for simple things like not having the 's' on the tie showing. Don't know how that affects the education.if you want to spend every waking hour on the phone with this school about irrelevant things by all means send your children here. Personally I will be glad when Ofsted step in and remind them that they are an education provider. Even if your child is well behaved and do there homework on time every time still expect them to get punished. Not a private school but act like one. Personally I have 2 children at this place and both have a year left and I can't wait for them to leave and have told them both they won't be attending 6th form.

While the school has its upsides, as a student, I feel the school could do better. They care more about the S on our ties and Trousers(which you can barely see) than dealing with racism. The Headteacher doesn’t care about our opinions. The hygiene in the toilets is horrendous.

Very regimented with school uniform, prices are outrageous and quality is discusting, you are basically forced to buy their trousers at over £20 a pair if not your child will receive a detention due to their uniform checks. They act like a private school without the results.

The school has some great educational opportunities and others. They take great pride in there school and uniform. As a current student they take a lot of pride in what they do and yo ensure their students do there best and don't corrupt there opportunities. If a student messes about in class they are removed to give the others the best chance. However they are very strict on their policy and very strict on homework and amount of work done in lessons
