A very hard one to rate this as it's changed owners. The food isn't quite as good as before but the owners are really helpful and nice people.
Absolutely ridiculous that if you go in for fish and chips you have to wait about 8mins while your 1 piece of fish is cooked as it's cooked to order and just that one piece of fish is cooked at a time, won't be using again, as I will be using the other chip shop down the road, I can't imagine what it's like if everyone that goes in wants fish and has to wait around for nearly 10 mins (mad)
Having had around 12 takeaways from Kegworth over last 3 months, disappointed tonight. The food is always great, so its hard to leave a negative review but order a takeaway tonight at 1845hrs, i was advise it would be upto an hour(usually comes within 60 minutes) but tonight had to call after still not here after 75 minute, finally go through after 19 calls and alert through order website, to be advise delivery is ready but waiting on a driver. It finally arrive around 2030, yep nearly 2hrs and yes it was cold disappointing and unfortunately this one event spoils all the others, maybe i should just get room service going forward !
Staying at hotel near by. Greated with a smile on entry. Very friendly staff. Offered tasters whilst deciding. Had mixed kebab, donner meat and chicken good. Nice sauces, good size portion. Would recommend.
Ordered a pizza and kebab for collection. Was told it would be 20 minutes. Turned up to collect and was asked to pay. Then told they were just waiting for the pizza. I say fine. About 10 minutes later another woman arrives to pick up 3 pizzas and is told they are waiting, and apologise because they can only do 2 at a time. I was stood there waiting for a pizza, which I realised I saw sat frozen on the top for 40 minutes (an hour since ordering), constantly being told it was another two minutes. The kebab is now cold. Had always had great experience here but has been taken over and now won’t be returning.
Ordered a Greek wrap after work about a week ago. The chicken tasted nothing like gyros, the meat were big chunks. Avoid this place like the plague if you want good food. The owner does not care about the food he gives, no passion just money money money.
Great food and even better portion sizes. We have become quite the regulars here and love that the kebab meat isn't too greasy! Definitely reccomend, fingers crossed the dessert shop attached with open soon too.
Donner kebab with salad and naan is highly recommended. Chilli sauce has a nice kick to it aswell.
