   Excellent food quality but poor store experience. Never any trolleys in the store, staff don’t start before store opens (assume to keep labour costs down) so aisles typically full of crates and people restocking during opening hours, very few tills open. Foodhall not big enough for size of retail park.

   Very helpful and clean. Enjoyed snack with my mom. She enjoyed the tomato & basil soup and I had the amazing, protein pancakes, bacon (5 slices) with butter and maple syrup. Everything was very good.

   Ordered an iced latte and fish and chips. The iced coffee was made within seconds which I found strange. There was hardly any ice in it and asked the young lady at the till for more. She returned it to my table exactly the same. The food was disgusting and the eating area filled with flies. See pictures. It had not been cleaned, and the tissue and food residue from previous person was still under the table. Massively disappointed and will not be returning. Used to be a fav hangout on a Saturday for my wife and I, but the change in menu, lack of cleaning and even the fridge with the drinks was turned off.

   I really like this cafe. Quality and price are very good. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The cafe is on the first floor you can get here on the escalator or lift. Brilliant disability access low level areas. Had a simple white fresh coffee very nice. Food is brought to your table and the whole area was spotless. This is probably the best M and S cafe around for cleanliness and staff welcome. Thanks for the experience people.

   I took my daughter and grandson for lunch in the m and s cafe today tbh l.wasnt impressed the tomato soup we both said was awful the roll was stale with one tiny pat of butter my grandsons sausages on his jacket and beans were dry, we often go in for a coffee and cake but was very dissapointed as for nearly half the price we could of had a MacDonald and enjoyed it shame as not what l.would expect from m and s standards which are normally exceptional

   What is going on with the small trolleys! It's so frustrating I go in my lunch hour to do food shopping & I'm always looking in the trolley parks for a small trolley but none yesterday ! There were big ones in the store but this just shows Marks & Spencer do not know their customers. Another thing aisles aren't wide enough for many big trolleys & I bet 90% of people can fit everything in a small trolley. A lot of elderly shop there they don't want a huge trolley either. I've got trolley rage I know but it's so irritating & I'm still suffering today as I hurt my back carrying a heavy basket! Self serve check out tills mostly only taking cash last few wks. Also I have shopped in M&S food halls firstly with my Mum & then myself so 40 odd years it was always quality so you didn't mind paying more. Now I'm afraid to say it's not what it was clothing went way down now food too so I don't hold much hope for its future. If I want cheap food I could go to Lidl, Aldi, Asda etc but I want QUALITY! Same with clothing why stoop to Primark level sort it out top level at M&S you don't know who your customer is !!

   M& S are too busy hustling customers, to give a good service. The cafe: Scone clearly priced at £2.00, however, they charged me £2.20 at the till; reluctant to correct. "Would you like the Columbian coffee?". They don't tell you that if you do that will be an extra 20p. 'Ordinary', I say. They charge for a large and are snooty when I correct to regular. My wife BUYS a jumper, the sales assistant doesn't bother to take off security tag. An unnecessary journey needed to correct their mistake.
