Spent a lovely Sunday lunch time here and had a walk/play with the owners dog...was lovely to be able to have our fur baby off lead for a play. In addition the views we're stunning and the open spaces were appreciate by our dog too.

I visited with my dad today and it was lovely. The food, especially the bread and sausages, we're delicious. I highly recommend the hot chocolate. The view was beautiful and the restaurant was decorated well. My one concern is that due to the large windows it would get rlly hot inside around lunchtime in summer. But there's loads of outdoor seating so it's not too much of a concern.

Live close by but never been before, but the tour of Britain was zipping by so called in for coffee and cake. I had a lovely date crumble slice and a good coffee sitting out on the deck. Fantastic deck with massive view. Protected from most of the wind by glass barrier. Will be going again to try the food. Tried food and was very, very disappointed. Had the toasted ciabatta Cajun chicken sandwich for 11.95. What I got was a rock hard small roll with a very minimal amount of Cajun chicken. Couldn’t eat it as a sandwich, managed the top on its own and tried using knife and fork for the bottom but gave up. Was like the Swedish cracker bread. Not even close to value for money. Not really complained before but it was so poor I did and to the staffs credit they did refund the items and offer a free slice of cake (which was lovely). Unlikely to visit again now due to very small portion and poor quality. So disappointed.

Lovely cafe, great view and wonderful food will happily go again. It was father's day so was a busier day but it has a good atmosphere. These good amount of parking with an over spill area. Will be going back on a sunnier day for sure. Nice little wonder around the windmill just outside.

A lovely find, right next to a local landmark - the Cat & Fiddle Windmill. We visited to check out the options ahead of a family meal in a couple of weeks. Delighted with what we saw, and we'll certainly be back. A great setting with a commanding view. The outdoor terrace will be fantastic when the weather warms up.

First visit to Windmill Cafe and it won't be the last. This is a beautiful new building it is light and airy with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. They have more than ample parking with a one way system. The food was excellent with good quality food. Place is exceptional clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Lovely brand new cafe at the side of the Cat and Fiddle/Dale Abbey windmill. The meals are great and well priced but I did not see a child's menu or any chips in sight. There are lovely cakes so that may surfice. It can be busy at times so booking may be useful. The environment and the friendly staff give this a really nice atmosphere. There is outdoor seating for those warm sunny days to eat and drink, looking over wonderful views. There is plenty of car parking spaces but there is a one way system in operation to get in and out of the premises. I have one gripe, which the cafe have to address which is seating. I have been now on five occasions and people sit on there own on a table for four which is a real nuisance on busy days. After your meal have a look at the windmill itself, it's been there as a landmark for many years, 1788 actually according to records

Staff were extra friendly, and the place is nice enough with some good views. The set up is 'order at the counter' and from reading other reviews it might be new and in need of refinement. Food is expensive, but we had smoothies Plenty of parking and the windmill is a great attraction but you can't go in it. Compared to places nearby or didn't quite hit the mark.

This place has just opened, just called for a coffee, but the food looks great, and a little different. This is a great spot to take in all the views, as you can see for miles. I can see this place being very popular
