Excellent service. The office called and booked a convenient delivery day with me. On arrival the driver was friendly and very helpful.
Could not deliver on the day saying delays. Phone call from a woman explaining that the delivery was delayed. She was efficient and explained thinks. Was told driver would call to say on the way, no phone call.
Just had a driver swearing at me after he hit/scraped our gate. I went outside to ask him to back out the estate a different way. I was then met with "Are you a lorry driver" and a barrage of abuse. He is the only driver to ever try to reverse out of the estate this way, of which we get over 10 lorries per day onto the street. Claimed he didn't hit the gate which he 100% did as I saw it with my own eyes and it's all on CCTV, fortunately not enough damage to take further however it has marked the gate post. You shouldn't be hurled abuse at when trying to help someone not damage your property! Not surprised to see thy have terrible reviews.
All 3 delivery drivers who have delivered to/collected from our property in the last few days have been exemplary. Unfortunately we didn't get the name the 1st one but the other 2 are Jason Graves ( who collected an item) and Harley (sorry, don't know your surname) who delivered an item. All of them went above and beyond. Thank you very much.
Unprofessional, dangerously incompetent, rude and dishonest - a presumably untrained driver tried to bring a pallet through an electric pedestrian gate that was too narrow, stood downhill of his manual trolley and lost control... electric gate arm and bracket damaged, gate scraped, no apology just "oh I think it will be fine"! I did the company a favour and saved them hundreds of pounds by re-fixing the bracket and adjusting the arm myself instead of calling out a gate enngineer, and not insisting they re-sand/stain the new gate they'd scraped. In return for my good deed the next time they came they refused to bring the pallet in through the 2.5m wide driveway (!) and said "it's in the road, take it or leave it". I left it. Spoke to the manager who was just as unprofessional and said their drivers "are all idiots". Same drivers came back again 2 days later, again refused to bring in a little pallet through the 2.5m driveway - this time they claimed they wouldn't deliver because "someone had been injured"!!! Wow, talk about dishonest. Needless to say we will no longer use this company!
We have restricted access which we informed H T Gardner about and requested a small lorry. The delivery arrived at the specified time and the driver was brilliant he off loaded the pallet with ease, was very helpful and expertly manouvered the lorry past the pallet and back along our narrow track. First class service. Thank you.
Exeter branch Just awful, never deliver on time when you pay for an AM delivery or not at all- when you call the office you just get lied to about the reasons for delivery, Deny they have collected pallets and when you prove that they have they don't respond as they have lost the pallet, you then put in a claim and surprise, surprise no response!! Get a new manager in who can sort this place out because clearly the current team is not the right one!
Total waste of time. Have had 2 deliveries from GARDNERS to our new business and both have had the same excuse of the lorry is full already and not enough time on route. First delivery I had to go and collect from the warehouse myself as it did not turn up at all and the second delivery was due with us 5 days ago and it still has yet to turn up. If you have the option to use a different courier then I would recommend it as this company seem a shambles. A 1 star is too good for them but zero stars is what they deserve, unfortunately we can not leave a zero star review. Grandees get your act together.
