We were really impressed with Vallance Transport, whose drivers were super-helpful and nice even though our lane is really tricky to get a lorry down and they had to go to great efforts to deliver our enormous batch of firewood! Number 62 lorry likes to drive on to a housing estate and park up in front of small businesses which only has half hour parking and likes to take his hour long break. Effecting local business's at peak time. Surely you could of parked at the place you dropped off at
I have just witnessed one of your vans come roaring through Yealmpton village in excess of the speed limit, pay no regard for the pedestrian crossing, nearly collide with a car pulling out of a junction. This is at school bus drop off time when there are children crossing and he would not have been able to stop given his speed. Very dangerous and a very poor advertisement for your company.
I found this was a very good company to work for. I know multi drop isn't everyone's cup of tea but transport is what it is
I am the ward member for Helland Bridge. This is an ancient Grade 2 listed bridge Heritage England top priority status. Your driver has just driven through 4 warning signs with weight restriction and weak bridge signs and has got his lorry stuck on this ancient bridge. Cormac had to come out with a club hammer to release the lorry. What possible excuse have you got for this irresponsible behaviour? Your company will be responsible for paying for the repair but what about the inconvenience to residents and the absolute destruction of a wonderful bridge. Well done to you and your driver.
A Vallance driver has just ignored AT LEAST 4 roadsigns warning of the unsuitability of the route for HGVs, to approach a narrow medieval bridge in Hellandbridge, Cornwall, which has English Heritage status. Upon seeing the narrow bridge, the driver has then compounded this error to try and cross it anyway, despite it quite obviously being too narrow, and has CAUSED MAJOR DAMAGE to the 500-year-old structure, which will now be closed to local people for months to enable specialist repairs. I hope Vallance Ltd are charged for these repairs and compensation to residents, and train their drivers PROPERLY in future!!!
Just drove through Pencoys, on the way to Redruth in Cornwall, and one of your drivers have literally flew down the road heading towards Helston, didn't give way, was clearly going well over 40 miles an hour in a 30, and swerved over to our side of the road, forcing us to slow right down, and then had the audacity to wave at us to try and say thanks for us giving way. The load leaned as a result of the drivers behaviour, so I thought it should be mentioned.
