   We wanted to try and use as many local businesses as possible for our wedding day, so when it came to flowers we always knew we would be using Poppies! Poppies has always been our go to florist since moving to Lydney, the staff are always helpful and friendly. Our wedding flowers consultation was very professional, with them advising what flowers would be best for the time of year. They did amazing at making sure my ideas were brought to life on the day! The colours complimented our bridesmaid dresses and suits perfectly. Kay liaised with our venue and ensured everything was delivered with plenty of time. So happy with our decision and definitely recommend!

   Kay at Poppies organised a beautiful display of flowers for my Mums funeral; Kay was a huge help at a very difficult time, liaising with the crematorium to ensure everything went well, regularly keeping in contact with me to assure me of progress and provided some beautiful suggestions to incorporate my Mums favourite flowers. Excellent service and beautiful flowers - I highly recommend this florist. Thank you.

   My son ordered a bouquet of spring flowers from Poppies for my birthday. A good selection of flowers and twelve days on it's still looking pretty good. I also had online flowers which were awful and dead on arrival. Poppies were brilliant and my son was pleased they were so good.

   I picked the surprise me option and paid £50 plus a £7 delivery charge from Lydney to Yorkley. The attached photo shows the difference between choosing local over Moonpig, their selection which came from my son filled 2 vases and wipes the floor with flower selection and price. Dull and well overpriced is a kind description

   Flowers were ordered, but when they didn't arrive, they were contacted. The response was they had no flowers, so could not deliver on the arranged day. When they eventually were delivered a few days later, they were just left on the doorstep. They didn't bother to knock or ring the doorbell. When we phoned to complain, the response was that they didn't think anyone was home and 'Well what do you want me to do about it '. We said an apology would at least help. Very poor service! Avoid. There are better florists in the area.
