   Hawks Local is our local convenience store and, for the size of the shop, always seems to stock what we need. All of the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly irrespective of the time of day or how busy it is. I’m absolutely mystified by some of the 1-star reviews here which are either entirely spurious (man not allowed inside the shop with a bicycle, when there is no room to bring in a bicycle and a place to lock it up right outside; or someone being served at the main counter ahead of the post office counter - usually because they are buying one item and this takes seconds whereas the post office counter transaction is more complicated and takes longer), or which mention rudeness of staff which, having visited the store scores of times, I just find it impossible to believe. These are great guys and a real part of the community.

   Shouldn't deserve even 1 star, I am not the one to review but frankly if a person has come back from work and is required to post a few parcel pre paid then all should be pretty quick, possibly let the bike in and just allow the custom, it usually takes 2-3 mins. But no. NO BIKES, not allowed in, go somewhere else, little rude and just not necessary. Try the post office opposite Matalan and Aldi, very polite and friendly

   NHS staff are rightly being celebrated right now, but not far behind them have to be the shops helping local communities get through this corona chaos. Big hat-tip to the team at Hawks Local for staying open, keeping their prices reasonable and approaching a difficult situation with bravery and a sense of humour! Nice one chaps.

   This is my favourite Post Office in Kingston, hands down. I have been their regular customer for almost 2 years now, and even though I moved to a new place and have another, closer Post Office point (Kingston Hill), I still keep visiting Hawks Local. All of their staff is super helpful, they process my business shipments impressively fast (even as late as 9:30pm), and always with a smile. Special shout-out to Ruban, JK, Kumaran and Theep - thank you so much for all your hard work, guys (...and see you next week, as always :-))!

   Shop may be ok but rubbish staff and post office not running as suppose to. Staff ignorant and rude. Was told to wait while the staff served customers who attended till after myself when trying to post my parcel. Better off with hermes or other local post services would not reccomend.

   Following the retirement of Anil, its lovely postmaster of 25yrs, the shop was totally refurbished in March 2016. The post office counter is now part of the main counter area and open daily until late, so still more convenient than heading all the way into Kingston or Surbiton. The shop and off licence element is also now much bigger and greatly improved too, with a far wider range of items.
