Horrible customer service... It is sad that one employee has such a power to make one customer's experience great, or horrible, but the lady dealing with me yesterday decided to make a horrible, regrettable one.

If I could give 0 stars it would be too many. I brought a holdall on wheels used it once and the bag ripped. I took it back for a refund, within the allowed time with a reciept. As soon as I walked up to the desk, I got the feeling that they were looking for a reason not to issue the refund. The first lady went to get another lady, who then went and spoke to a manger. She then came back and based on their own opinion only, no actual evidence I was told a refund was being refused as I had dragged the bag. I categorically told them that I had not dragged the bag and brought it specifically because it had wheels, so it would make no sense for me to drag it. I asked the lady who I dealt with, why anyone would drag a bag on wheels and she couldn't answer it. I was then advised that if I wanted to complain to do so online. I did that and was told it would be resolved in 48 hours. 3 days passed so I chased up online for an update to be told, as the item was brought in store, there was nothing that could be done. So I spent two days waiting for a resolution that was never coming. Rude members of staff in the pepper hill store who looked for any excuse to refuse a refund, based on opinion rather than fact. Do not use this store because if anything goes wrong they will accuse you of damaging the item. If this is how they treat loyal customers then I hope the store closes down, as it is clearly not fit for purpose.

Returned an iron for refund in June. Didn’t check until October to see if money had gone back in my account. I realised that I had never been refunded so I contacted the store to raise the issue on two occasions and was told they had raised the refund request and that I would receive an email within 24 to 48 hours. Both times an email never came through. I called third time and was told sorry we can’t refund unless you provide a refund receipt which was never asked for the first two times I called. No one is interested in helping. Useless store and service. Seriously thinking of buying elsewhere on the future to save myself the hustle of having to beg for a refund. Truly disgusting how they treat their customers.

Ordered necklace from Argos purely because it stated that it would be in store by 09:00 am. After it was ordered and paid for we received an Email stating it wouldn't arrive in store until 16:00 pm . Never heard from them until after that time so had to phone them, only to be told that it wouldn't be in store until tomorrow at the earliest. This item was due to be presented to the recipient tonight. She will be very disappointed. I should have gone to Amazon. Andy Drew

Do not buy large heavy items from this branch. They were quite happy to sell us a washing machine but wouldn't help get it to the door, wouldn't allow us to pick it up from the delivery doors and four members of staff stood and watched as we lifted a 64kg washing machine into a Sainsbury trolley to get it to the car. Manager asked why we didn't bring a sack barrow. I can't print my reply to her. Very poor service and attitude even worse.

I was attempting to collect my click and collect orders which I had already paid for online at around 5pm today. I went in as usual after waiting in the queue and I was greeted by a young man with brown hair who was incredibly rude as I tried to collect my order. I have never experienced such a rude employee before in my life, having collected many times from the Argos before. He did not treat my items with care, which upset me as I had paid in full for these before collecting. All the other employees were nice but if you come across this young man, steer clear!
