We have been dealing with Bedrock Tax on a UK tax issue (and are based overseas now). Lisa and Matt have been great to deal with and have been hugely accommodating of needing to operate across time zone. The experience and contacts within the HRMS have meant the process has been much smoother and less stressful than if we'd tried to do it ourselves!
I was referred to Bedrock in 2018 by my accountant in connection with tax planning disputes and potential settlement with HMRC. This has been a long running saga with many twists and turns as the Loan Charge has been enacted, reviewed, adjusted and now law. I needed someone who would be able to deal with multiple tax years, incomplete scheme and trustee records and, most importantly, able to deal effectively with the 'machine' at HMRC in reaching a settlement. I simply did not have the time or the expertise to do that although I did understand most of the issues and some of the technicality. I needed pragmatic experts who would get on with it, develop accurate statements, check and challenge HMRC on their version of calculations, brief me when I needed it and also be available to talk through ideas as the legislation and HMRC positions shifted. Over the last two years I have received all of the above and more. Although the outcome is still unclear, and settlement may not be everything I had hoped for in the end, there is still much to play for and it is still being actively pursued by Bedrock. They haven't given up and they continue to deliver what I agreed and paid for. I have developed a warm but professional relationship with the team and with Lisa and Matt in particular. If you are looking for sensible, pragmatic advice and help then I can certainly recommend Bedrock.

I am an accountant and have used Bedrock as a 'knowledge reservoir' for many years. I'd recommend them to you. When the news isn't great, they tell the truth and work hard for the 'best' outcome, if there is one to be had. Sometime there isn't. But that's not a measure of their performance. 'Tax waters' can be choppy. Particularly at the moment. At other times they dazzle us with the money that can be saved/recouped. Certainly not a 'one trick' pony.
