    Very disappointing experience with Apricot Insurance. I recently took out a policy with them, paid in the amount, and was told everything was confirmed. The next day, I received a call saying there had been a mistake on their end and that they could not provide the insurance. They then forcefully initiated a refund of around £450 and assured me it would be back in 2 days. It has now been 6 days, and today they changed the story again, saying it will actually take 10 days for the refund to arrive. If they had been honest from the start, I could have arranged new insurance immediately. Instead, I have been waiting based on their word and unable to drive — meaning my wife has been doing all the school runs and work drops, which has caused a lot of stress and inconvenience. I understand that mistakes happen — that’s human. What I cannot accept is being misled about the refund time. Clear communication and honesty are basic expectations, especially from an insurance company. I personally would not recommend Apricot Insurance based on this experience.

    I have had insurance with this agency for quite a few years. My draft did not go through my bank this month and tried to contact them about it. No answer from them all day. Left messages and no return calls.

    AVOID !!! Paid £419 deposit for a car insurance , the policy went through and , at the end of theiropening hours , on Friday at the same day, I've been called by one of the Apricot Insurance Staff saying to me they can't offer to me an insurance, the quote provided being wrong ! I've been charged and has no insurance instead !!! So frstrating ! Still waiting for the refund . . . .

    AVOID!!! I should have read the reviews before using...13/6/25...found them through a comparison site, thought it was a good idea to use them because we should 'use local.' Filled in the online forms and PAYED them, then received an email saying that I was covered at 2pm...Got a phone call at 2.30pm with someone asking me the same questions as were on the online form. I just thought this was their procedure. At the end I informed him that I had received an email saying I was already covered...He then went and checked to confirm, this was correct...During the questions he asked if there were any claims, I told him I had been hit last year. He said that was ok... Phone call at 3pm from a different guy, informing me there would be an additional £50 charge due to the undisclosed claim, I told him that the claim wasn't against me, that I had been hit. I was told that didn't matter and the charge would still stand. (News to me) I told them to cancel the policy. Absolutely shocking customer service, so £50 for one hour of cover, good work Apricot, you should maybe take note of the reviews on google, you will now be my favourite topic of conversation to warn people NOT to use your services...

    I got a very bad experience with Apricot insurance company. They never followed their rules. First we agreed on £850 per year if I send them the proof of no claims for one year. If I didn't give it to them, the insurance would cost £1090. I had to wait for the proof for several days from another company. And when I provided them with the proof of no claims bonus for one year and was ready to pay for insurance £850 as we had agreed before, they changed their mind before paying money, in the last minute the manager changed the price for £1075 per year. It was not acceptable!!! This made me unhappy. They didn't want to give me insurance without a proof of no claims benefit. I promised to provide them with this document within 2 days, they said no to me. The rule is: a customer can provide the proof of no claims within 7 days. This insurance company made me wait for the insurance for 4 days. I could not drive my car without insurance. I was in despair. All this stuff made me crazy. They made inconveniences in my life. I'll never recommend this company to my friends. The agent was not helpful at all. She never even introduced herself to me. Bad, bad, bad!!!

    Kevin in Apricot insurance is our go to when it comes to renewing our different insurances. We have 3 cars, our own house, a business, and 2 rented properties. Kevin always finds us the best offer available and always tops it up with great advice so we don't get our cover wrong. I highly recommend Apricot Insurance.

    Personal service is much better than online quoting for insurance discussions and in this respect Kevin of Apricot Insurance was extremely helpful. Apricot's prices were competitive to begin with but with the insights provided by Kevin they easily moved to pole position.

    Having used many different companies for car insurance, apricot has been by far the most helpful. Staff went out of their way to answer queries and the actual premium they offered was far better than other companies. Some well known companies flat out refused to offer cover for a younger driver on my specific vehicle. Very impressed and hope to remain with them.
