Wow, this is a company that actually honours loyalty instead of taking advantage of loyal customers. I've been with them over 2 decades and Katrina went out of her way to get me a good price.

Was looking to change car but renewal date came up before I found one. So renewed policy and carried on car hunting. When I found a new car less than 4 weeks after renewal, I gave Abbey new car details. They said my insurance company wouldn't cover me for new car ( no reason given). They cancelled my policy and tried other companies, best price they could do was £500 extra to what I had paid. I found a company for £540 total. With cancellation fees £50 Abbey and insurance company fees. I have lost £230 in total for less than 4 weeks cover, plus it will take 4 to 6 weeks for refund of rest of payment. Will never go near Abbey again.
Very poor customer experience, been insured by them for 20 years, this year they wanted almost triple for my motorbike policy and "couldn't move" on the price so I went elsewhere, when contacting them for no claims certificate suddenly they could have offered me a renewal at the same price I got it for elsewhere. Magic when that happens..... Wonder if the silly game will be played when my home insurance is due ...
The person i was speaking to can not remember his name but he was more then helpful was easy to talk with and made changing my car insurance form my old car to my new one could not thank him for the way he handle things so happy with your service thanks Lawrence Cullen
