Always pleasant to deal with and always have a great selection of live foods for reptiles which seems to last longer than anywhere else we've purchased from and the staff go above and beyond to help especially when I purchased a viv for my dragon they saw I couldn't lift after having operation so they put into my car for me five star service
Not a great selection I spent £30 recently however once you enter the store the staff watch you like a hawk thinking you are stealing so good store but staff treat customers like criminals !!
Bought two lovely healthy female fancy mice from this branch who are settlinging in lovely to their new home. The young lad who served me and helped me with picking out the girls was amazing and really made the experience that much more enjoyable and made sure to go through all of the correct protocols for animal sales. During my visit I was able to handle all the female mice to help with having a closer look at them. Where one of the females (the one I ended up buying in the end) ran up my arm and into my jacket. Which working in a pet store myself commonly happens with young rodents which haven't got used to being handled yet (which is normal). The young lad was calm in this situation and helped me take my jacket off so we were able to get her out without causing a fuss or harm. While this was happening, an elder woman stormed over in an aggressive manner and stated, "If you lose one, you'll have to pay for it; it's why we keep them in the box." Which as I was still distracted by carefully undoing my jacket (as she had got into the detachable fleece lining of my jacket) said "Yes, that's not a problem."where she then stormed off and didn't say anything else for the rest of the transaction of sale. Me and the young lad eventually got her out of my jacket and back into the box where I then decided to take her and one other of her siblings. I found that the woman was very unprofessional and from working in a pet store myself would not have dealt with this situation in the manner that she did. It genuinely upset me as at no point did she help or aid me and the younger colleague when this whole ordeal was happening, but instead made an negative remark which didnt help in the slightest. Other than that, I really enjoyed my experience and thank the young guy for making the process super relaxed and enjoyable and he dealt with the accident really calmly and professionally.
Very welcoming and Knowledgeable staff, nice selection of reptile supplies and when we asked for something that wasn't in stock they happily ordered it in the next day and called to advise they had received it and it was ready to collect, A* Staff and customer service

After visiting the Paignton store which is clean, well presented and has friendly staff. I was very dismayed to see the Syrian hamster section. I am an experienced hamster owner and I was shocked at the tiny space that they were in. There were 4 to 5, 16 week old boys in one space. With no deep substrate - and a flying disc only suitable for a dwarf hamster. It was no wider than 35cm. The height was awful too. Totally inadequate. I was so upset I emailed the company and asked to speak to a manager via email. I laid out my concerns - but the reply I received showed that they will not be taking any action and feel that they comply with guidelines. I do not agree with their stance. To care about animals, you must house them correctly and offer space, whilst taking care of their mental health.
Could be a nice shop but the staff aren't very welcoming, I also feel the extra 10 min walk to Pets Parlour is worth while given the prices of Arc. I think had the staff been welcoming I wouldn't of left so quickly without buying anything .
Always feel as if I see family. The staff at the shop cannot be more helpful and nicer. Honest, it is so lovely to see them each time. Now I bought another budgie from them and he is lovely chap.
