Should have listend to other local pet stores in plymouth about this place and stayed clear as they said...Condescending and rude to customers as i was warned, 20+ birds to 1 small cage and believes that no bird should be free flown and have exercise. The smell is horrific, have fun waiting 10/15 minutes for even a reply as they have their daily bants...having veterinary nursing and a degree in animal care myself, i am not stupid as to what a birds needs are. Free flying for exercise and enrichment daily is vital and my birds thoroughly enjoy having free roam time. Her advice is shocking and i was taken back by what she said...Listen to what others tell/warn you about this place. Won't be going back (glad im banned) lol.
I purchased one of your young blue budgies, your lovely member of staff recommended him because he was very interested in everything and stepping up already. He has been lovely, very friendly and loves coming out of his cage and will fly to me. I am so thankful for such a lovely little bird and everyone that comes to see him I am recommending they come to your wonderful shop. X
Recently purchased a Cockatiel. Louise really goes above and beyond at every step… Before we’d even committed to making a purchase Louise invited us to the shop and gave us loads of general advice and information to make sure we understood what we were letting ourselves in for, and to make sure we chose the right type of bird for our family. Once the deposit was paid we were kept updated with progress. When the bird was ready Louise gave us a full overview of everything we’d need to know - plus she does a great value bundle of cage, toys, food, and everything you need to get started. Really impressed with the whole service and Louise has been a pleasure to deal with, she knows everything about birds - is clearly passionate about animals and always has the animals wellbeing as top priority. Fantastic service, knowledge and help. Louise is so knowledgeable and passionate about the safety of birds and having bought a beautiful friendly Conure from her I now go here for all my bird food/toys and advice. Great to learn all the handling skills for my African Grey too. Her advice and skills leave me reassured every time. If you’re considering getting a bird ask Lou first as she will ensure you choose the right bird and give you all the help you need.
We arrived at the shop on Sunday unaware the Sunday closing time had changed but Louise was kind enough to invite us in and let us look round. It was the first time we had been here and wow were we impressed, Louise is super knowledgable about birds, she offers so much advice and really helped us with what we are looking for. When you meet knowledgable people like Louise that genuinely care for birds and visit small well stocked shops like this it’s so important to support these small local businesses. If your thing is birds this is the place to go!! I also discovered Louise boards birds for holidays does beak and nail trimming and even does training with birds. Fantastic!
Great little shop, have everything you need for birds. Reasonably priced.. Loads of birds for both cage and aviary. Not just your usual selection, they hold a huge range of birds for home, cage and aviary. Finches, canaries, budgies, quais, parakeets, parrots, you name it..... Have hand and silly tame birds..... Can see why they have been in business for so many years,. If you like birds and you haven't visited , then why not ?
My partner and I absolutely love Manadon Birds. We have bought 4 birds from their we bought a Cockatiel a Lovebird a Parrotlet and a Kakariki. The owner Louise is absolutely amazing with all the birds in her shop. Louise has so much knowledge about how to care and look after birds. She is the only person we would go to if we need any help or information about our birds. The shop is always clean and tidy and the girls she has working with her are all friendly. If my partner and I had more room we would definitely buy more birds from Louise. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to buy a bird to go to her shop MANADON BIRDS The prices of food and toys for the birds is definitely value for money.
