Well I can't believe this is the first time I've been here, two friends invited me on a glorious sunny day for a walk with my dog along the Erewash Valley Trail, then onto the Trent Lock Inn for a well earned rest and meal ... There's no charge at the Carpark which was a very pleasant surprise... We had a wonderful walk by the canal towards Long Eaton and a very steady walk back to the Inn... The Inn has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the service was excellent...by the way, the meal was delicious...and the Inn is also dog friendly with there being a designated area for your well behaved best friend and yours truly... I'm definitely returning in the not too distant future as there's so much more to explore and discover in the area... It's a definitely highly recommended day out for sure... My dog Bobbi loved it!! And me too!! Don't worry Bobbi, we'll be back... ...

Trent Lock is a gem of a spot if you're looking for a relaxing day out. It’s easy to get to with loads of parking. The place is all about lovely walks, with paths that wind along the river and canals, offering some beautiful views – perfect if you’re into nature, walking, or just fancy a peaceful stroll. The pubs and cafes around here really add to the charm. You’ve got places like The Steamboat Inn and The Trent Lock Pub, which are great for a pint or a good meal, You can sit outside and soak up the river views. All in all, Trent Lock is a fantastic spot to spend a lazy afternoon. The mix of scenery, good food, and riverside vibes makes it well worth the visit.

Good and spacious carpark with free parking to get access to the River Trent and 2 pubs or a tea rooms. The public toilets is closed by council which is a bit inconvenient for some people.

Not bad access considering the winding lane down to it. Usually spaces somewhere even when busy, lots of movement & another large car park opposite..

It's free, there are usually plenty of space and there is public toilets at the car park. It is convenient for the two pubs and tea rooms and a good starting point for walks along the Trent or canal.

A good car park, plenty of spaces and most importantly free! There's also toilets there, they seemed clean but very much municipal type.
