The positives are it's a clean, big pool. The negatives are that they're not very child-friendly. They don't offer family sessions like other Places Leisure pools nearby, you can only book Just Swim. When we went to our session there were noodles right on the pool edge literally touching the water but when my daughter went to get one she was told by the lifeguard she's not allowed them. They also started setting up for the school session 30 minutes before our session was due to end, putting out lane dividers and telling us off for being in the middle of the pool while we were literally being herded by the incoming lane dividers (?) I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcomed by this point that my daughter and I left with still 20 minutes left to go of our booked session. I understand if just swim sessions are not allowed floatation devices but they really should put them away for sessions where they're not allowed. I also think it's a poor way to encourage children to swim if you're not offering family sessions where children can play and enjoy the water, instead we were just made to feel like an inconvenience the entire time. Of course you can book swimming lessons, but at £45 for the first month (£30pm+ joining fee) that's more than twice the price of a regular swim and is very unfeasible. Also a small gripe, but I was disappointed to find there were no towel/costume dryers in the changing rooms. Also the teaching pool is booked separately, but if it isn't in use by lessons, like it wasn't when we went, I think we should be allowed to use it.

A good range of activities take place in several spaces within the centre. The pools are great, though it would be nice if there was more seating beside them, for busy times.

Car park management is atrocious, allowing non blue badge holders to park in disabled bays

I can only comment from the parent of a child who has swimming lessons here, that said it's a clean and friendly leisure centre the staff are very polite and welcoming and the swim instructors are Brill my daughter now swims really well and has brilliant confidence in the water. She looks forward to her lesson every week and that is certainly down to the instructors. Prices are certainly fair and not over the top would highly recommend.

Nice enough leisure centre and most of the staff are friendly and helpful but the downside is the classes are just too big. All on top of each other and they cram as many people into them that they can. I gave up my membership because of this.

This place is great, staff always polite. Excellent facilities and always clean. I come here swimming a few times a week and I'm always welcome. The swimming lessons here are also good, the instructors are all highly praised by myself and others I know that bring their kids here. Also recommend the kids party packages that they do here, definitely worth checking out.
