A woman named Sandra was extremely aggressive with a cockapoo. Someone that aggressive should not be a groomer. This is exactly why I would never leave my dog with the groomers at Pets at Home. Sort it Out
I have been buying products (including fish & fish food) from Pets at Home in Rushmere for years. I have never bothered signing up, but for some reason today a jumped up female member of staff said “it was her policy that I had to sign up” in order to buy from their shop. I refused and ending up putting my selected items back on the shelves as I didn’t want to cause a scene in front of my disappointed son. I just checked online and you don’t have to be signed up to buy from their shop. A bit of staff training and customer service skills might be needed here. I won’t be back as I can buy elsewhere without being harassed to sign up!!
Just drove from Magherafelt to craigavon pets at home to be told we couldn't buy a hamster because we didn't have a photo of the cage..had i of been told that when I rang an asked if they had any hamster in their store. ..no apparently it's store policy not to tell you that until you arrive in store..... my Autistic Grandson became very upset an couldn't understand why he couldn't get the hamster that was instore..... I found the staff to be rude. ignorant an not very understanding of a child's feelings.... I can a can't say for definite I nor any member of my family will put a foot through their door or any of their stores again.... I will make sure everyone knows how rude an downright ignorant the staff particularly the girl with the shaved sides...this young woman needs training in people skills...
Love this place, although they should take a bit more time with handling their animals.
Really great store and staff. Came in as I had just adopted two kittens and needed advice on cat litter. A lovely colleague spent time going through the pros and cons of each one and we decided on the silica diamonds litter. Also helped us with using the app to get some great discounts on kitten food and the whole shop we did. Came back the next day to pick up some more bits and the staff member remembered us and asked how the kittens were doing. Not often you get that kind of customer service so Thankyou.
Now this is what I call a pet store ! So much choice from a huge range of items for all kinds of pets big and not so big. I thought Jollyes was well stocked, but Pets at Home is definitely a tier above in that regard. Staff are friendly and helpful. I really don't think you'll have reason to fault it.
Absolute clowns! Went in to buy 2 small goldfish and a job interview would have been a less painful experience than the list of questions. It’s all an attempt to sell over priced tanks, filters, etc. if it wasn’t, why is there multi buy discount - the more fish you buy the cheaper they are, total con artists. It’s not long since the spotlight show highlighted what they are really like.
