One of many man made swimming pools seen around the Cornish coast. Dam up a gap between two rocks and the sea cannot escape leaving behind a pool of sea water that is replenished each high tide. Originally there was a ladder down to it from the breakwater but now it is accessible from the beach.

Fantastic pool nice not big ,nice and deep. Expect to clim rocks to get in. It's distance or hight.at 67 and only 5 foot I did it .make sure you have someone with you.

My 2 year old really enjoyed exploring the rock pools here - found some shrimp, sea snails and some fish. There's also a deeper pool which you can swim in which was fun (good for kids who are scared of waves like mine!). Check tide times as you can only get to the rock pools at low tide.

A lovely deep rockpool that can be ok to swim in, diving is not for me so that's not a problem but it's not as big as it seems. It's only shown on low tide and the tide can come in quite fast
