Not much here as beaches go. A view of the city and the mudflats and the roar of traffic makes it unappealing. Surrounded by nice walks though.

Nice shallow beach ideal for dog swimming. Sand is almost white. Quite a walk from the Saltram house car park but it is more or less level all the way. The path is wide and tarmaced which is also used by cyclists.

Visited Saltram Beach & Grounds for a good walk & lunch at the National Trust Café (on site). Very pretty walk, suitable for families with young children in prams/pushchairs or wheelchair users, dog walkers & cyclists etc. Parts of walk can be muddy so wellies advisable & some path routes have steps although these can be avoided. On site cafe serve hot & cold snacks, hot & cold beverages with outdoor & indoor seating. Toilets available here as are another lot near big car park. Bowls of water always available for dogs in outdoor seating area. A play park just down from café can tire out little ones, with a pretty pond providing home to several birds just opposite. Plenty of areas available to have a picnic too.

Beautiful on a nice day during low tide, you can walk the whole way around! Inaccessible when the tides in though.
