Went here for the last few weeks gone fishing here it was nice no fiah yet but there are fish in it but when near the bridge plug your nose it stinks tbere otherwise a great spot
Beautiful little lake, shaped in half moon, situated out of the way, where only locals would know where it is. A lovely little tranquil spot, where you'd least expect it.
An absolutely unexpected stunning bit of tranquility in West Belfast
A hidden gem in the heart of West Belfast. A small Oasis on the edge of Lenadoon, well maintained and managed by the local community. Spoke with a fisherman enjoying the tranquility of a fresh Saturday morning, he told me the history and pointed me in the direction of a mound where the views over Belfast were stunning.
Half moon lake is Just a short walk, you can walk around the lake with little ducks in the water, a lot of litter about but still nice and peaceful in the middle of a residential area but hidden away.
Great to half this wee piece of peace and quiet so close by. Just a pity that dog walkers can't keep their dogs on leads especially when they can't control them.
My grandkids love this place. Looking for wildlife, feeding the ducks,fishing and a nice place just to take a stroll. Events on during the year and a workshop for people on a Thursday morning.
