If you haven't yet visited Gigi Gao's Authentic Favourite Chinese, now it's the perfect time to do it. Celebrated my son's 18th birthday here. What an amazing service from Madame Gao, Tina & the team!! We look forward to coming back to that calm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

The decor is great, very friendly and accommodating staff. Just very expensive for what it is. There’s no reason on gods earth a couple chicken balls should be £13 or cauliflower to be £15. Amazingly, London reprices are cheaper- it just felt very greedy and killed the vibe especially when the majority of mains don’t include side dishes like rice and you have to purchase them separately. I suppose the counter argument could be ‘If you can’t afford it, don’t go’ however you’d expect these prices at a high end restaurant, not here. It was nice for a one time experience but wouldn’t go again. It was very commercialised with clothes and trinkets for sale along with incense floating round the dining room which personally I didn’t appreciate especially as an asthmatic and the heat inside was uncomfortable. The food however was delicious and it was definitely an experience. To end on a positive note, the set meal menus were varied and interesting, authentic flavours and glamorous waitresses with beautiful dresses made it feel like something out of a movie. With just a few small changes like better airflow, more dishes including sides and more reasonable price options this place would be somewhere I’d take family and friends. Overall 4/5 and I look forward to seeing how this place progresses. All this is my own opinion and I encourage anyone reading this to experience for themselves, its definitely worth a visit.

Pandas everywhere! On the walls, climbing up the ceilings, in the toilets! There are Chinese lanterns and chandeliers hanging in the air dining space. An absolute riot of colour and kitch. The service staff were very attentive and friendly without being at all over pushy. We stayed far too long but there was no attempt to ask us to leave. The food is generous and tasty. All together somewhere to have a great evening and conversation. Prices too were very reasonable.

Wonderful place, impressively decorated with Chinese stuff from the entrance to the restroom. Kind witers, nice food and fresh beer... What do need else? Portions are big enough and the dishes are delicious.

We had a lovely meal here, everything was well presented and tasty. Lovely staff and great decorations around the restaurant and outside with views of the marina. Thought it was priced just right compared to London where we live it was cheap. The goody bag is a nice little touch. If ever in Swansea again it will certainly be on our list to go to. Thank you all.

when we arrived we were quickly greeted and shown to our table and not long after we were having our drink orders taken. We didn’t wait long until we were having our food orders taken (we were given plenty of time to look over the menu) and shortly after our starters were being brought out. First were the chicken dumplings and these were so flavourful and tasty! Next we had the TianJin pork boa and these were unreal! The meat inside of the soft bun was so juicy and packed full of flavour - I could have died and gone to heaven! For our mains we had egg fried rice, chicken noodles and salt and pepper duck, with a curry sauce on the side as well. It won’t surprise you to hear that everything tasted amazing - especially the duck! Please if you go here (which you most definitely should) get the salt and pepper duck, it was absolutely phenomenal!! Me and my boyfriend can’t wait to return.

Absolutely delicious food, lives up to the hype and more. The flavours and spices are just right and the selection of dishes is spot on. Recommend the Catfish soup and selection of dumplings and Dim Sum. My son had the duck with pancakes, which was brilliantly presented with soft/succulent tasty duck, how it should be. The service was wonderful and the decor and chinese music positively enhances the atmosphere. Highly recommended and will certainly be returning.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service. We had a wonderful evening and ate the best food in Swansea, some of the best Chinese food in the country. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the braised pork, tasted amazing and had a great texture. This place is a must visit. The prawn curry and the duck pancakes were also a highlight. Excellent.

We loved this restaurant so much we went back two nights in a row. Delicious food, beautiful setting and friendly waitresses. They even gave some free gifts to our children.

My new favourite restaurant! I shared the vegan platter with my husband and every bite was delicious! I was really pleased to see they had a whole vegan menu available. The restaurant is beautiful and staff were very friendly. We'll be back! Update - went back with my best friend last night and again, fantastic meal and great service. New photos added
