This should be classed as a Sainsbury’s Local. Only managed to get 40% of my shopping list here - even fairly basic items stocked by most local co-ops are not available here. Great corner store!

Went for the toy sale, was a little upset that I drove for 2 hours to get here as we dont have a sainsburys locally to find they had practically sold out of all their toys but its a nice store, clean and tidy, friendly and helpful staff.

I've been shopping here for years because the quality of the fruit, veg and meat far surpasses that of any other local store. We are a family of fussy eaters, so Sainsbury's is the only store that seems to cater for us all. Recently, however there have been things that have really irked me. Firstly, the freezers always seem to be breaking down so I have to go elsewhere, which I don't want to do. The last time the freezers broke down they were off for almost a month. I don't think this is acceptable. Whenever you've finished your shopping and after the receipt has printed, customers usually get a coupon with various discounts. Last year the discounts were generous. This year I've noticed that there are no longer discounts on shopping but discounts on petrol/diesel instead. There isn't a Sainsbury's petrol station in Gorseinon, so the nearest one is in Swansea city centre, almost 10 miles away. I know that this coupon isn't popular with customers because I regularly see that many of the coupons haven't been taken. Finally, I've noticed that prices are vastly inflated on certain items, then are given a large discount when using your Nectar card. Even after discount, the prices are sometimes cheaper elsewhere. For instance, a 10 pack of J20 is priced at £10.95, but then discounted to £6.95 when the Nectar card is used. I've realised that Home Bargains is selling the same item for £7.00. It seems that Sainsbury's head office doesnt seem to care about this little shop which has become so important to me. In addition to this, I don't think that Sainsbury's are being entirely honest with their customers.

Stocked ok, could not find an alcohol free red wine. That was recommended by Saturday Morning Kitchen. Maybe I will have to try a bigger store, as they did sell other alcohol free wines available.

The picture makes Gorseinon look really bleak. But it's worse than that. Sainsburys is pretty good though . . .

Very helpful staff. Especially Chloe. Not sure about the Nectar card app. Trying to spend my £s was like trying to break into Fort Knox! Very happy with my shopping!
