Have visited the MK one previously and always enjoyed but was disappointed with the Northampton establishment. Staff were very attentive and lovely so no faults there but the food was just average unfortunately. It was decent but nothing note worthy. Would really love them to offer the Korean spring onion pancake as a starter because that was quite stodgy and would be much much tastier and satisfying as a starter / sharer so it was thinner and crispier.

Had a fantastic experience here. Prompt service, food arrived in good time and was piping hot for the cooked meals and fresh and tasty for the cold sushi too! Will happily come back again!

We came here expecting some good and healthy Asian food but ended up being so disappointed. Some sushi we ordered wasn’t that great. But the worst part is the noodles. We ordered 1 stir-fried and 1 noodle soup. Both are showered in oil. My husband said the stir-fried beef noodles was too sweet but the beef was too salty at the same time. My ramen was the worst noodles ever I have ever eaten, fully covered with oil and had no flavour, I could barely eat. You can come and try something else if you want but wouldn’t recommend these noodles. Waiting time is a bit long also.

Nice little Japorea restaurant with good selection of Japanese and Korean staples; probably best sushi/sashimi in town. Was there during quiet period so can’t comment on atmosphere, but ambience was relaxed.

Went for the first time on Saturday night. Service was prompt without rushing us and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant wasn't packed but was probably 3/4 full by the end of the evening. The food we ordered was lovely - we had starters including the soft shell crab and chicken gyoza. My main was eel in Teriyaki sauce, which was well-cooked, piping hot and well-presented. All in all, I couldn't fault it. We all had a lovely evening and are planning another visit, to sample some of their Korean dishes.

As this restaurant has been established in Northampton since 2017 and we have never been, we decided to give it a try. We booked a table for 9pm on a Saturday night and were greeted by a happy and helpful member of staff. They showed us to our table which was right near the front door, which felt like it was in the waiting area so we declined that and asked to sit further inside which was no problem. When seated the waitress said "we shut at 10", so we knew then we had an hour. Thanks. The decor is a bit bland but spotless. The large tiled floor makes it feel cold and was really slippery to walk on. There were 3 other tables in use and seemed quite empty. The service was a little quick as they wanted us out within the hour and whilst we were eating they were clearing up around us which made us feel uncomfortable. I ordered the beef bulgogi with boiled rice and my wife had the chicken teriyaki with boiled rice. Both meals arrived quite quickly, tasted fresh and were nice. The portions were not too large and just right for us. We decided against staying for any desserts. The total price came to £43.90 including a glass of wine each, which I think is quite reasonable. Overall the experience was good and we will probably visit again.

The place was good. Good food. Starter was great! Loved the sushi! Main was lovely. I had Korean marinated beef with boiled rice. The food portions were too large for me. Service was ok but not great. We had to ask them for the desert menu and noone came to get our order. We ended up leaving without having any desert. The desert was very limited just ice creams and one type of cheese cake. I expected more.

Honestly one of the best meals I have had in a very long time staff was lovely the dishes was authentic and fulled with flavour! It had nice decor very Good prices for what you get! If you want something different but delicious highly recommend will definitely be visiting again

Not worth it for the price. The fish for the sushi has no firmness, it’s like mush, does not seem fresh when compared to other sushi places. Not to mention the amount of actual fish is so thin on every sushi item we ordered. For reference we ordered: Salmon, Tuna and scallop sushi Salmon Avocado roll Akasaka Salmon roll Worst of all, I found bits of hard avocado peel in my salmon avocado sushi roll. Definitely not worth £8.50 for a roll that has unpeeled avocado in it.

Akasaka has a nice layout inside and the tables are well spaced. The menu is comprehensive, it serves many East Asian dishes and the quality of the food is very high. I had the deep fried calamari, eel rolls and spicy pork bulgogi and they were all delicious and surprisingly light on the stomach. Felt just perfectly full afterwards. One comment is the staff could have been more attentive as it wasn't exactly busy in there and my friend had a struggle to get a refill. Otherwise top class.
