Item availability is good. But I have been overcharged the last 3 times I have been there. Either by items being double scanned, or wrong pricing being inputted. Very frustrating
This is a lovely independent shop with an incredible range of food items and fresh produce. The quality is impressive and it's all very well merchandised. You will find supermarket staples here but also lots of World Foods you won't find in the mainstream supermarkets. Prices are reasonable too, particularly considering the quality of the products
I went there again today and encountered the rudest cashier - a short-haired lady with glasses. She asked if there was anything else in my shopping bag, as if every customer is a thief? When I paid in cash and asked for change, she claimed she had no change. That's utterly ridiculous, since the two customers right before me both paid in cash, with both notes and coins. She just said there was no change available. If they don't want to make money, maybe they should just have all customers pay by card in the future.
This asian grocery is a great spot if you're craving authentic Asian flavors. They've got everything from fresh seafood to perfectly roasted ducks. Love their fresh veggies, fruits, and yummy Asian pastries too. The store is super clean and well-organized, which makes shopping a breeze. They also have a cool selection of frozen dim sum and fish balls for easy hot-pot / dim sum / meals at home. And don't get me started on the snacks—they're tasty and super cheap! I have never been to this Chinese supermarket before! I usually go to the one in bradwell abbey. But they sold everything , that I loved seeing and it was a nice big warehouse/shop. Only thing is there is no restaurant but other than that they've got everything else, will be returning.
This is a great spot for your oriental food items, from base ingredients to fully cooked crispy duck. We love the frozen dim sum and gyozas. Be warned though, the store is cold, so make sure to wear a coat!
Absolutely love Hoo Hing! Just about the biggest Asian importers in the UK with quite literally everything you could possibly need. Lots of fresh produce, big frozen section and absolutely mind blowing selection of sauces and condiments. Can't recommend enough!
I try not to go crazy buying food from Hoo Hing but I don’t tend to do very well!! I like how they give you a free Chinese leaf when you spend a certain amount there, however, it’s not very clear to me. Go there if you want a variety of dumplings but I am more of a bubble tea and bun person but they don’t always have them in stock.
