   Food was just OK, steak pie pastry was soggy both top and bottom, Mash potatoe was Luck warm in the middle, Welsh Rabbit was hard to cut in and tasted just a normal cheese on toast, without the taste of Welsh Rabbit ingredients in it.The waiter staffs was present and helpful.

   Friendly "old fashioned" British pub which serves excellent food and has a great atmosphere! We arrived really early for our 11pm ferry so this was the perfect place to eat and relax beforehand. The moules mariners was delicious! Friendly staff ready to have a laugh with us.

   Lovely Barstaff, great atmosphere and a quirky decor that I loved.The cask ale smashing and as for the food SPOT ON I had the pie (home made) mash creamy and fresh Savoy cabbage and carrots Simon had some of the plumpest and best muscles he. Can remember.All in all great place we will definitely be back when we are down this way

   A friendly popular pub very near Newhaven Harbour Arm (West of the river). A great place for campervans on a budget - they are permitted overnight down by the arm for a small fee where there is also a seafood shack and decent coffee van. Very windy on windy days, but can be sunny when the sun is out.
