Nupur Restaurant is a truly rare, hidden gem! From the moment you step in, the warm ambiance and courteous staff make you feel truly welcome. The menu offers a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary Indian cuisine, each dish prepared with authentic spices and evident care. What really stood out was the balance of flavors — bold, aromatic, and never overpowering. Every element on the plate feels thoughtfully crafted. Whether you're a fan of Indian food or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. Great food, great people, super clean and child friendly!

Very disappointed that the restaurant, which serves excellent food, has stopped serving alcohol. The management response that it is a result of Brexit and that the majority of other Indian restaurants have done the same is respectively incomprehensible and untrue. In fact, I was told by the manager himself that it is due to the religious preferences of one of the owners.

Very good food and service but the whole evening was completely destroyed by a group of men swearing and being very aggressive and loud so it is best avoided if you want to enjoy. My wife felt sick and the swearing was really threatening- police wasn’t called to intervene which was really shocking. Not for families or couples for sure

Some very good cooking but experience ruined by exceptionally loud restaurant and waiting staff didn't seem to listen then bought the wrong items. They did however make an effort and were friendly, I think we were just unlucky with our timing (there were large groups). Edited: As of May 24, no longer serving alcohol, frustrating that they didn't mention it when I booked, I didn't feel very good walking off to Co-Op to fetch wine and beer. It's also a bit awkward with beer going warm but they did provide a cork-screw and ice. Business as usual however, with regards to very good food, but yet again they seem to attract large, loud groups.

Very disappointed! Highlight was the Onion Bhaji. Waterary, tastless curry. Small Korma portions. Overpriced for for quality and quantity of food. I've tasted so much better curry than here!

I’ve only ever been during the week and it’s been quiet but that does mean you get attentive service. The staff are always friendly and the food is excellent so the only reason for not giving it five stars I guess is because it feels a bit dated.

If I could give 3.5 stars I would, but I just can’t give it a 4. I have been back here several times over the years. It’s the only Indian restaurant I can get to on foot. It’s pretty decent, nothing bad about it at all. Lovely friendly staff and a decent menu. Nothing totally amazing out of this world here either, just decent. Curry fans should not fear this place, I just can’t get over excited either.
