   Had a wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant. Staff were very polite and attentive. Food was delicious. I had lemon chicken tikka as a starter which was tender and tasty. Then chicken malaya which was beautifully cooked, accompanied by pilau rice and a garlic naan. My partner had a hotter chicken curry again perfectly cooked, with an aloo gobi to share. Highly recommend this restaurant.

   We visited Calcutta 16 today and really enjoyed our meal. We had the chicken tikka masala, a spicy Jalfrezi, and the grilled mixed dish. Everything was tasty and full of flavour. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was friendly and attentive. A very good experience overall.

   Returning to Calcutta-16 Worthing after over a year was an absolute delight, and I'm thrilled to report that the quality and experience remain brilliant. The moment we walked in, the fantastic service and comforting atmosphere and Indian music instantly reminded us of the originality and warmth of food back home, a truly authentic taste of India. The standout dishes of the evening were magnificent. The Masala Dosa was a masterpiece: perfectly crisp, light, and wonderfully flavorful, just as it should be. The Tandoori Platter was equally impressive; every piece of meat was expertly cooked, succulent, smoky, and perfectly spiced. It’s rare to find such comforting consistency and Calcutta-16 delivers on all fronts. If you're looking for genuine Indian flavours and top-notch service in Worthing, this is the place to go.

   We had a date night so decided to go to Calcutta 16 for a meal. It's ALWAYS beautiful food and excellent service. We have often had takeaways from here too, excellent value. Shami the owner is always so friendly and accommodating. Definitely give it a try, you'll not regret it!

   Ordered via their website, and it's cheaper than using other Food Apps. Food was packaged nicely and Owner manager was very polite and friendly on collection. Although the curry weren't the best we had, but it was good and fantastic value for money, most dishes were cheaper than other competitors.

   Popped in for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. Quite a large menu with some interesting looking specialities. We both shared poppadoms with an amazing selection of dips, including an amazing lime chutney. The mains were tasty and surprisingly large. I will most definitely return to try more of their dishes...

   Absolutely outstanding ! We sat down New Year's Eve 2022 for a brilliant meal ! Ordered the lamb Phall (not on menu) very hot! and the lamb Vindaloo with a lamb Dosa shared between us as a starter. The staff and service were great ! Will be back !

   Worst Indian meal ever! The Kerala vegetarian main course was a plate of frozen mixed vegetable, peas, diced carrot, green beans and sweet corn with the addition of a few flakes of coconut. No sauce, just a sprinkle of spices. Chef's special, authentic South Indian food!! The meat curries my sister-in-law and brother had were also of a poor standard, hence one star.

   No photos sadly as we were so hungry! But the food was to die for! The meat was succulent and tender and the flavours were as aromatic as they were tasty! Best curry we've had for a while. You won't regret the gamble!

   We have ordered a take away from this place based on good reviews but unfortunately the food wasn't edible. It was warmish, split and overall off tasting and ended up in the bin. We have contacted this establishment but they have decided to ignore us and not issue a refund. Disgraceful customer service. Never again.
