I ordered at Opium Den Cantonese takeaway today and I had a delightful experience. There was delicious food. I'd recommend the salt and pepper chips and of course the crispy beef as it had such flavour. There was good cousmter service there too. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Ordered 2 CHICKEN Chow mein amongst other dishes. Travelled 20 minutes each way to collect. Only to get home to find that the 2 'Chicken' chow mein, had NO chicken in! Infact, they were just 2 boxes of completely plain noodles! I rang the takeaway, to have a response of "what do you want me to do about it?" My family and I have always loved the Opium Den, all the way back to when we used to go to their Restaurant 20+ years ago! But tonight will be our last visit.

Disappointed I ordered a house special curry this evening, the meat consisted of one prawn three small pieces of chicken and one small piece of beef it consisted mainly of sliced onion and green pepper. I thought they had made a mistake and thought I meant vegetarian curry!!

Our usual holiday Chinese was closed. Looked at some reviews for Opium Den and was mostly positive (4.7 / 5.0) so decided to try. We were not disappointed. Food being cooked smelt amazing when walking in. Reception was clean and welcome was friendly. There was an impressive selection to choose from. The food was good value and arrived quickly. We were given free poppadoms and prawn crackers for spending over £30. When unpacked the food was perfectly cooked, tasty and great quality. Will be returning for more of the same. Well worth the travel.

Take away. I only had BBQ spare ribs and prawn toast. Both were very good. Walk in customer but order was fast. Sunday evening.

Lovely Chinese takeaway, can definitely recommend the crispy beef, the beef curry and chips is also amazing. They are also very considerate when it comes to allergies and also requesting for msg free meals. (They will also tell you which meals will include msg because of the sauces) Prawn crackers also amazing, I would definitely recommend trying. 10/10.

As my favourite Chinese was closed (Sketty Packed Meals) i thought id try here and OMG I was just sick in my mouth after the first bite... hands down the worst Chinese I've ever had ... I can honestly say the Chicken wasn't Chicken every piece went to Mush!!! I wouldn't feed it to the homeless... "Hanging" will never return

The best Cantonese takeaway in Swansea and the staff are all so friendly. The food is to the highest of standards. I ask for the crispy chicken or beef to be extra spicy and they always add a generous amount of chilli. The salt and pepper chips are well spiced and delicious. They do not have a card machine so make sure you get cash out before hand.
