   I previously wrote a very positive review about this establishment. Yesterday evening, my partner returned there to pick me up a very simple meal. BBQ spare ribs + egg fried rice. The egg fried rice was rather tasteless and bland. It was ok once it soaked up the barbecue sauce. However, as hungry as I was The barbecue spare ribs were barely edible. I can only imagine that they've been reheated several times over the course of days. I really don't know. Barbecue spare ribs is normally one of those things that you can't really go wrong on. The previous time that my partner had gone to this place, It was pretty packed out and she had to wait and queue. This time she was the only one there. I think that tells what you need to know. This place has gone down the pan!

   I don't think we have ever had a Chinese takeaway curry so strange and horrible before. I'm not even sure if it was actually supposed to be a curry, there were no curry flavours to it, it was mostly sugar. The sauce was so sweet and so weird that it was totally inedible. We both struggled through a few mouthfuls before puttung the rest in the bin. Total waste of money. We were very disappointed.

   Have had Chinese food from Sketty packed meals for over 20 years but the last dozen or so I have had have been awful. Keep hoping would improve but they get worse. Chow mein was tastless even the meat. Fried rice looked like it been cooked in same sauce and tasted the same... bland! Honey roast spare ribs were all bone with no meat, lump fat on each and sauce was awful and not the nice honey roast they used to serve. Free poppadoms tasted of stale fat. All I can say is that I need to find a new Chinese takeaway but at least the dog enjoyed all the rice and half the chow mein.

   This was the worse Chinese meal I had in a while. We ordered crispy chicken in honey and black pepper sauce which was just that - chicken with half a cup of honey poured onto it and lots of black pepper. I don’t think they get the concept of honey SAUCE. the chicken itself was most likely cooked three days ago. Was very chewy. We also had a special curry which tasted like the cheapest curry paste around. The chicken noodle soup looked like black bean sauce with noodles and chicken pieces in it. I have no clue how this could pass as chicken soup, even a Chinese one. I don’t understand how they lasted as long as they have in this area but I do understand how their prices are so cheap.

   Sketty packed meals is always busy that's testament to great food! We have had many great meals for reasonable prices and there is always enough for the next day. Recommended if your looking for a great Chinese takeaway!
