   Avoid the cafe. The queue is slow and long. The wait for food yesterday was ridiculous. I'd have been happier to wait if the food was actually any good. The BLT was made with cold bacon, which was tough with white lumpy bits of chilled fat all over it. The 'hot' baguette was also cold and disgusting. For £20 with drinks the food served was inedible. We would have complained but I wasn't standing in that queue again to speak to someone. It was a shame as the garden centre itself is lovely. We'll be going elsewhere for food next time as the cafe really put a downer on the visit. We could see other tables getting annoyed about the wait and quality of the food too.

   Visited the cafe today and we chose to have a hot baguette with smoked cheddar and tomato. What we expected and what we got was an experience. Baguettes were cold, dry, no butter or mayo etc. a tiny piece of cut cheddar which measured less than 2mm thick with one and a half baby tomato’s cut in half. A tiny little salad on the side. Took it back and explained that for £12.98 we expected better. The lady at the counter took it, apologised and offered to remake. 20minutes later still no baguettes so we decided to ask for money back and leave. While waiting to be served more baguettes arrived - no better. More apologies. The cup of tea we received while waiting the first time was undrinkable with a definite taste of tcp. Will never return to the cafe. The garden centre Christmas display however was lovely.

   Visited for a Santa grotto visit . That was 10/10 . After a wonderful hour there we visited the Cafe . Not the first time we have visited the cafe was not overly impressed before but todays visit was awful . I had a 3 year old and elderly parents with Dementia in tow . We entered a very busy Cafe/restaurant at lunch time and saw the length of the queue at one of the serving counters so decided to join the queue at the other one nearest our table . I stood for 10 minutes in that queue got to the front to order hot chocolates and scones to be told sorry you can’t order scones we only have the cakes in cabinet here you will need to go order over the other side . Now I had a 3 year old and a parent with Dementia that had decided we were having scones so though I was annoyed I decided ok I will go to the other counter . I waited 50 mins in a queue that was not overly long but service was so slow . The staff were trying their best but honestly were out of their depth ( I myself own food establishments so understand service and fast turn around ) People in the queue were all getting annoyed . In that time I had left 2 elderly relatives and a 3 year old sitting out of my eyesight . I would vist for Santa again but the Cafe is literally one of the worst run Cafes I have ever visited the service level is a minus figure . 1 hour to get 3 hot chocolates and scones and cake . The management need to support their staff and train them as lovely setting and food spoilt by lack of staff and knowledge in Barista trading . Roy’s is a family brand that did not appear family friendly at all today . Ended up leaving stressed and with agitated parents which could have been so different with a better managed cafe .

   We had a lovely visit to Santa's Grotto today with our 5 year old. The Grotto is a magical experience for children and all the staff are amazing and make it really special. Definitely worth a visit!

   I visited the restaurant at Highway Garden & Leisure Centre—part of Roy’s family group—today for lunch. Although the food hall, which is roughly divided into 3 sections (mainly a café, restaurant, and a dog-friendly area), was busy, the staff managed the demand relatively well. I estimated there were over 230 customers enjoying their meals, making it possibly one of the largest garden centre restaurant in Norfolk—I've certainly not seen a larger one! Aside from a slight delay in clearing some tables and the 40-minute timeframe for preparing hot meals (which was communicated to everyone), the staff, who were polite and friendly, handled the rush admirably. While there was a wait for hot meals, the carvery, which seemed very popular, was not affected by this delay. I opted for the traditional steak and ale pie as part of my carvery, accompanied by a bottle of orange juice, all for a very reasonable £12.98, which I thoroughly enjoyed. During my time at the centre, I took a walk around and was impressed by the wide variety of items for sale. I also noted that the men's restroom was exceptionally clean and well-presented. Despite the centre being very busy, I didn't have trouble finding a parking space near the entrance—though this might have been more luck than design. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will certainly be returning in the near future!

   We had a carvery for lunch on a Saturday. It was busy which is a good sign for any eatery and the food was faultless. It was traditional (which we like) with the only slightly modern twist being the option of cauliflower cheese. I am not easily pleased and I feel that most carveries are imperfect in someway. This however was perfect! It’s a canteen type of environment but that’s to be expected and I knew that.

   Whilst the Cortado was a little weak the outside, dog friendly dining area was a fab suntrap, there were a great selection of spring flowers and shrubs, the plants are always good quality if a little expensive. Today we had lunch on the restaurant, the service was great, the food amazing and reasonably priced.

   Stumbled across this rather magnificent garden centre on the way to Norwich.. Only went in for a coffee but stayed for some time looking around the very spacious indoor and outdoor areas. Large cafe and restaurant with very peaceful and sunny outdoor seating areas with parasols.. Dog friendly too.. 5 star

   Visited the aquatics department here today, looks very well run and the fish on offer are good value for money. The fish seem cared for and the environment is A1 good. The dry goods section, foods, treatments, decor, etc seems about normal value, though the NT Labs range here was the cheapest I've seen it on the High Street. Worth a stare, friendly staff. Part of Roy's of Wroxham Group.
