Stunning location with very polite, attentive and professional service. I had the 6 course tasting menu which was very good but reminded me i prefer my meat well done rather than pink. Overall a great experience and i'll return for another meal soon

The restaurant is a real pearl by the water. We got a tasting menu, and the dishes were excellent. We had a split opinion with my husband, whether the 8-course menu added up to be too much. He could eat more. I wished to stop after the 4th or 5th course. The shrimp dish and the lamb were my favourites. My husband could stop talking about cod and an extra dish of melted cheese tart. The soufflé was beautiful and tender, nicely earl-grey tea-flavoured, but we both found it a tad too sweet, and the crystallised sugar inside had a bit of a sandy crunch. We were an hour late due to navigation issues that caused the directions to be incorrect. (A few times:/. Once we ended driving on an uncomfortably narrow, but still two-way road.) But we called, and we were graciously accommodated, even arriving one hour late. Tip: When making a reservation, ask for a table by the window - the views are marvellous.

This is an amazing restaurant. Stunning location looking across the beautiful Oxwich Bay and towards North Devon. Exciting and superb food- locally sourced and each course so special- extra treats including canapés. Friendly and welcoming service- every member of staff was delightful and made us feel so special. We absolutely love it at Thr Beach House. They have created something quite magical!!!

Absolutely stunning setting, service and food! Thank you so much for the birthday card and the absolutely wonderful meal and lunch!! We would love to see the ingredients making up our meal laid out on a table as it would be an incredible amount. We will be back but as it is 3 hours each way maybe not as often as we would like!!

Disappointing Experience — Not Worthy of a Michelin Star! We visited this restaurant on a Saturday night and, unfortunately, had a very poor experience — one of the worst of our entire trip through Wales. Service was shockingly slow and inattentive. After being seated, it took over an hour before anyone came to take our menu preferences. From there, things only got worse. Throughout the evening, we had to get up from the table to find staff just to request basics like salt or drinks. It felt like we were constantly chasing service, which completely disrupted the experience. As for the food — sadly, it didn’t live up to its Michelin reputation. The bread and dessert were the highlights, but the main course (lamb) was underwhelming and quite bland. Overall, it simply didn’t feel like a Michelin-level meal, either in quality or in hospitality. We expected much more, especially given the rating and price point. Would not return or recommend based on this visit.

What an incredible experience. Fantastic food, wine and hospitality. Went for the 8 course tasting menu, especially enjoyed the Crab, Raviolo and bara brith Souffle. The Laverbread Bread was delicious too Wine selection was great and not too expensive. Make sure you book plenty of time in advanced as it's not always easy to get a table.

Lovely beach location by the side of Oxwich Bay, service staff were friendly enough albeit our mains took quite a long time to arrive. Nice food served however, without the WoW factor. One of only half dozen Michelin * restaurants in Wales.

What a wonderful surprise, to have a Christmas voucher for The Beach Restaurant! We have been avid ‘fans’ of The Great British Menu since 2020 and follow the talented chefs with hope and enthusiasm. Hywel was one of our favourite chefs we followed and to visit his restaurant was a fabulous opportunity to sample his fantastic menu. From the warm welcome at reception and from all staff, front of house, we cannot praise them enough in making us feel welcome and ensuring our visit was enjoyable. The food was out of this world. It looked amazing, delicate and tasted absolutely exceptional! Every mouthful was a taste sensation, flavours balancing with texture and acidity! Presentation of each dish was well thought out and executed! Our drink were delicious; the aperitif and wines were full of flavour and bouquet, again exceptional. The service was second to none. Staff members were ready to take our orders for food and drinks. They delivered food with detailed explanation of the dish. Overall we were very impressed with the quality of the food, drink, environment and staff. We will highly recommend and most certainly look forward to our return. A special thank you to staff for organising for us to meet Hywel. Such a genuine person who deserves the absolute best in the future.

Beautiful setting, lovely atmosphere and fantastic food. Attended the Great British Menu Event and the dining experience was one to remember, staff were all first class and head chef came out to explain the story behind the courses. Could not recommend highly enough, loved it.
