We had a superb meal at India Village! The service was excellent, we were made to feel extremely welcome. The complimentary drink at the end of our meal was a surprise and truly appreciated. It goes to show the team really do want you to have a great experience.
The food was extremely tasty, I can highly recommend the Tandoori Special on the sizzling hot plate. Thanks to everyone at India Village - we had a great time!

I wish I could un-eat the past two hours of my life. Dining at this establishment was less of a meal and more of a hostage situation for my tastebuds. I have eaten things in third-world countries that had more dignity than what was presented on these plates.
Where to begin? The "soup" tasted like lukewarm dishwater that had a minor dispute with an old sock and the sock won. I ordered the chicken, which I suspect was alive mere moments before it arrived at my table, possibly deceased from a broken heart after seeing what was expected of it. It was drier than a dusty attic and had the textural integrity of a flip-flop.
My companion's vegetarian option seemed to be a plate of assorted gray matter. The vegetables were boiled into a state of total submission and regret. It was less a salad and more a crime scene where flavor was the victim.
The decor? Depressing. The lighting was the kind you find in a public restroom in a bus station, the kind that makes you question your life choices.
The service wasn't just bad; it was actively hostile. Our waiter moved with the speed and enthusiasm of a snail on tranquilizers. He seemed personally offended that we asked for silverware that wasn't smudged with a previous diner's hope and dreams. When we politely mentioned the food was inedible, he just shrugged and asked if we wanted the bill.
We didn't just pay for food; we paid for a trauma. I left this place hungry, angry, and convinced that the chef must be a sentient trash compactor. If you value your health, your happiness, and your faith in humanity, run in the opposite direction. This place is where culinary dreams go to die. Avoid at all costs. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Iβm thinking very strongly about going to my local doctor since Iβve eaten now this place my stomach and my sonβs stomach has been playing up and donβt feel well at all thinking very strong about suing this place

The perfect mix of delicious Indian cuisine and exemplary service and courtesy. I have visited this small, intimate restaurant in wymondham on a number of occasions and each time I have experienced wonderful food and hospitality. Portion sizes are generous and extremely good value for money. The owner and all the staff are always very welcoming. This restaurant should definitely be on everyone's radar.

I recently ordered butter chicken from this restaurant, and it was a complete disappointment. What I received tasted more like a sweet chutney with a few slices of chicken thrown in β nothing close to what authentic butter chicken should be. It lacked the rich, creamy texture and balanced spices youβd expect.
Clearly, they have no understanding of the actual dish.
Very poor quality and not worth the money.
I will definitely not be returning.

Had a lovely meal last night for a group of 7 people. Service was really good too with complimentary liqueur. This is now our favourite indian in Wymondham and we will be back

Nearly an hour late for food delivery. No call or message, qe were just left to wait wondering if the food would ever come. Took it up with the delivery driver who was rude and obviously stressed. We should really not have had to pay full price. Have been loyal, but now I think we will use someone else. Not good enough at all.

Visited the restaurant for a meal and as always was very pleased with the food. It is an intimate space but you donβt feel like those at the other tables can hear you. The service is always great and both times I have been offered a free coffee at the end which was a lovely touch. Will definitely visit again.

We have used this Indian for a few years now which has always been nice, UNTIL today! Our order today, Chicken was so rubbery and our meal wasnβt good. They Price was so expensive for what we ordered. This has put us off and we will not be ordering again. Such a shame you used to be such great food
Genuinely disappointing as someone whoβs always loved Indian food!
What we ordered vs what we got:
- Butter chicken , we got chicken in this white curry sauce which tasted very coconutty
- chicken tikka masala, we got chicken in a red sauce which again tasted mostly of coconut
- chicken biryani, legit fried rice with chicken pieces
Just giving a genuine review in form of constructive feedback as well, please cook the correct dishes :) food was very bad and disappointing
