Great tasting and hot food, for an amazing price. If I crave a Indian curry, I don't order anywhere but here. Plus the usual delivery driver loves his job and is always friendly and willing to chat. Unlike most delivery drivers from all other companies lol
Keep meaning to write a review. I've started using this takeaway since about February time. Every curry I've ordered so far has been superb. Always delivered hot and flavoursome. My last order was again as its usual high standard.
Have ordered from here a lot in the past and food has been lovely but last night my order was wrong when delivered and although they were happy to change the wrong curry, by the time it was swapped my rice was cold and bread had gone hard. When speaking to them on the phone they were incredibly rude, shouting and told me to reheat my rice myself. Such a shame as the rudeness from the staff has put me off ordering from them again.
I decided to give Bombay spice another chance over the weekend despite their recent hygiene issue - what a mistake that was! After eating the curry i purchased (should of seen the warning signs handling lose chance and then getting food without washing) i spent the entire night being violently ill, with server stomach pain and inability to keep anything down! This was an extremally distressing experience and has seriously impacted my health! I will be reporting this to environmental health first thing Monday morning!
First things first, I arrived to collect my takeaway order and the smells were incredible, the mega offer currently running was so good, food was hot and tasty really friendly people too! Great all around definitely order again!
I had a really disappointing experience, despite being a regular lover of Bombay Spice takeaway. After over an hour delay in the arrival I called the establishment and spoke to the handler, I was extremely understanding of the delay but was informed that the delivery driver left an hour ago so this couldn’t be the case. They kindly send another delivery out (this time to my address correctly) and I then received a call ten minutes later accusing myself and my household members of stealing an order even going so far as to comparing accounts with the second driver to accuse my housemate ‘the short girl with dark hair’, demanding that we either return the food or pay for it ‘when the delivery driver arrives to confront us.’ I then received a call twenty minutes later informing me that a ‘funny incident’ had occurred where the delivery driver had delivered to the wrong address and the call handler proceeded to laugh. I didn’t receive an apology for this threatening behaviour, so really disappointed that I’ll have to order elsewhere from now on. As a household of girls this was very intimidating and uncomfortable.
We ordered an everyday special offer (bhuna, bhajis, bread, and papadam) and a Pathia. The curries arrived on time and were warm. The value for money was good as each dish had lots of chicken. We spent £15 LESS than we did on another restaurant and the food was better. We will be ordering again!
DO NOT ORDER HERE - HORRIFIC SERVICE!! We ordered for a family night in.. we were missing multiple items, when we called to raise the issue, we were greeted with raging abuse down the phone calling us liars, even though we had the order in front of us. Plus it arrived late.
It's easy to tell why the head chef won "chef of the year 2015" full on flavour! Generous portions. My Advice: They have a long queue for those ordering over the phone/ online and a Short queue for those who stay and wait. Can be the difference between waiting 15 and 60 minutes
Partner ordered form here tonight, chicken was raw in the middle. They were happy to take it back. Second lot came and was even worse than the first. We called the restaurant again to be shouted at and insulted down the phone calling my partner a baby and all us British do is cry like babies. Worst service I have ever received. How can you talk to your customers like this. Absolutely disgusting behavior!!!!!!!!!
