It was very busy during our visit on 22nd December. The food was excellent as usual however Denise went above and beyond to ensure that we were looked after and ensured we got our meals quickly as we had a show to watch and didn’t appreciate how popular this restaurant was. Thank you Denise!
Terrible service - waited for over an hour for our main course and was then told that the order hadn’t been given to the chefs (after we chased them) - special occasion for our daughter’s birthday - manageress couldn’t be bothered to apologise to us (we did get our drinks and dough balls free). Even though we booked a table we were put on a drafty table near the door - not in the main restaurant area. Won’t go back.
Haven’t been to a pizza express for years that came here as we had some vouchers to use. Nice quality food and good service. We did remark that the price seemed to have gone up significantly since last time.
Served tonight by Rachel who was so lovely and gorgeous and welcoming and made our night 100x better! Food was delicious as always and so is the location, but Rachel was what made the night perfect! 5 stars all round!
Came in last night for dinner for my partners birthday and I must say what a welcoming we got from Joe and Ben and both remembered us from our last visit which was a great added touch we were served by Rachael who was great and very polite. Atmosphere was great with all staff smiling and laughing with customers! Made our evening with great food included too! Thank you so much Pizza Express team we will be returning again soon! P.s Burnt Ends pizza is to die for!
We came with a large group for my sons birthday and the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. Rachel in particular was amazing with the kids and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and we were all so impressed This is the first time we’ve been and we will definitely be back! Thanks so much for making it special- especially to Rachel!!!
I went to Pizza Express on an admittedly bloody cold evening. However, whilst not expecting balmy conditions inside the restaurant its fair to say I've been warmer in a tent in the Cairngorms in winter. Baltic outside and pretty much the same inside. All of the guests were still wrapped up in overcoats and scarfs. Doesn't make for a relaxed evening. Chilled certainly... This could be forgiven especially in these straightened times where energy costs a kidney, however the temperature of the food? Nope. The pizzas were served on plates no warmer than the pavement outside, so by time I had eaten about 1/3rd the food was cold. Really cold. I'm past the age where cold pizza the morning after a night on the town is acceptable. Cold plates put onto a cold marble topped table is basically guaranteed to freeze your food unless you can eat as fast as a hyena. Staff were friendly albeit frozen. The pizzas were okay. Pizza is basically an open topped cheese and tomato sarnie so hard to be bad or particularly good. Overall, average food in a nice looking chain fast food restaurant, with friendly staff and sub zero conditions.
Fantastic restaurant with a bright and welcoming atmosphere coupled with brilliant food and of course service. The pricing was also reasonable and portion sizes were justified with the pricing. Went with a couple of friends a few weeks back, the service was great and swift, and of course, the food was cooked to perfection. The Carbonara Pizza was a surprise both for me and my taste buds, it was probably one of the most 'out there' pizzas I have tried and it surprisingly worked! 5* will dine here again!
