Really good home cooked Sunday roast dinner. Friendly staff and the location of the pub and the pub itself is so warm and welcoming. Would 100% return, the surroundings are stunning

Iβve been passing this place monthly on my way to work for about a year and always thought it was sad that a lovely looking country pub in such a pretty setting was closed, so was really pleased to see it was re-opening and took the first opportunity I had to visit for Sunday lunch. Itβs a really cosy pub, the views out the back are lovely and even though the staff were very busy they are really friendly and couldnβt do enough to make sure we had a great lunch (eg we asked for 2 pots of custard with dessert and that was not a problem at all!) The food was home cooked and really good.. marked 4 stars as the service was a bit slow, I think the much deserved popularity has overwhelmed them a bit! I hope this place gets the support it deserves to succeed, itβll be an amazing family pub in the summer as it has swings for the kids, also already has outdoor food carts set up. We will be back . Iβd Recommend booking for Sunday lunch.

First time trying it since the new managers this year but unfortunately a huge disappointment. Walked in at 13:30 and sat at a table straight away (good service) sat at the table for 16 minutes before even being asked about drinks order, (poor service considering only 2 other tables with customers) drinks arrive promptly after ordering so canβt complain once the order was finally taken. Food orderedβ¦ olives to start withβ¦. Olives from a jar at Β£4.50 that had gone off and also when delivered to the table being touched by the waiter (touching with fingers). For main course we went for simple food hard to get wrong, βwagu beef burgerβ and Cajun chicken burger. Cajun chicken burger with no hint of Cajun flavouring, believed to of been deep fried from frozen as a struggle to cut through with a knife and very tough, taste of lemon in chicken, had 2 mouthfuls and left. Wagu burger definitely not wagu and over cooked. Chips with lots of black bruised potato in. Not once during the meal were we asked if food was ok, or when leaving majority of food on plate when collected. Went to bar to pay bill and again not even asked if everything was ok. A village pub that did so well before will not survive with service of a Pizza Hut and staff that are too busy on their phones to care about the customers. Also to add toilets disgusting and was reported bins in female toilets full of sanitary items. A real shame as before we spent lots of time and money in a pub that can be great but currently not.

My husband and I thought that we would treat ourselves to a Sunday lunch.I wanted to go somewhere that we hadn't been before. We chose the white horse in tilbrook, omg the food was all freshly prepared and we where not disappointed, very lucky as we had not pre booked(we will be in future) So we where very lucky. We highly recommend that if you choose to go there that you pre book and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

We had a very lovely experience at this pub. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very very delicious and reasonably priced. The building is very beautiful, there is a massive garden with plenty of seating. The car park is very big too.

Visited here last night on my friends recommendation Very pretty restaurant at the back with helpful staff and yummy food. The onion rings were so amazing best had for ages!! Enjoyed ribs (although bit overcooked for my liking) my friend enjoyed chicken burger which looked delicious! We both enjoyed puddings and fully stuffed good portions and quality for the money ! A lovely evening to enjoy somewhere different with good food and service which does not always come hand in hand since covid and happily return soon!

Visited for our daughters 21st birthday, we were a party of 11 and had a lovely evening, all the staff were welcoming and attentive all evening. Food was very good, something for everyone. Thank you for bringing out the cake and was lovely that everyone in the conservatory joined in singing happy birthday. Thank you we will return again.

What an absolute treat! Our family has frequented this pub many times over since 2009 and never, ever has it been as good as it is right now! Service was faultless, menu is diverse and the food itself was exceptional for this price point. Vegetarian dishes also beautiful made with care and attention 10/10. Thank you :)

Went for my birthday meal here and it was lovely. Sat outside enjoying the views of the surrounding countryside and felt peaceful here. Food was top quality and cooked to perfection and we were served by very friendly staff. My new favourite pub this may be.
